Pardon me if this has been answered or discussed elsewhere.

OK, so I have 5 eGo batteries. Let's say that each battery is generally supposed to last 7-8 months; does this mean that all 5 batts will die at about the same time, or that (assuming I rotate use evenly) each individual battery will last 4x longer than the 7 month estimate?

I think you should think in terms of charge/discharge cycles instead of time. I believe the Ego-c batteries have a 300 cycle life; this means that they can be discharged / charged approx. 300 times. I don't think this cycle is time-dependent, so they should last however long it takes you to achieve 300 cycles. I suppose there may be other factors that affect battery life that I am unaware of, but in a typical scenario, 300 cycles.

Yeah, it's not so much time as it is charge and discharge cycles. Also the depth of discharge may affect the number of cycles you get.

If you use just one of the five batteries every day, rotating to a different one each day, theoretically you should get a total of 35 or 40 months use out of all five, based on the 300 cycle life. Maybe more. 300 cycles is closer to 9 1/2 months.

I use 8 batteries, alternating and recharging a set of 4 each day. So each battery gets a light discharge every other day.
I'm thinking I should get close to 24 months use out of them.
