Ok, I am about to start thinking about the possibility of contemplating making my own battery mod......

Just a couple of questions if I may... I saw a cutaway drawing of a 510... it refers to the chip that is inside the battery... what is this for and do I need one in my mod?

or do I just attack an old battery and take the threaded atomiser connection out and connect a bloody big battery to that with a switch?

Any help would be much appreciated... Thank you :)

Thank you guys...... I feel a mod coming soon.... I just need to find a small 5v battery pack that has Hundreds of amp/hour rating :D

well, maybe a 5v 300mah rating would be more realistic, but the biggest capacility in the smallest size, maybe even a small 7.2v lipoly pack and a 5v reggy in there.....

Will do some drawings, and work out where to get bits from.... As with all my threads, I will let you know what happens :D

then to the lathe/milling machines and knock something up.......

Quasimod has given me a link to Heavens gifts where I can get some 510 battery connectors so I do not have to sacrifice a battery :D Thanks to Quasimod, and thanks to Wireguy and Jason365 for your help also :D

Just need some of that stuff.... what do you call it? you know when you can do other things but work.... Oh Yes, Spare Time :w00t:

The battery you may want to consider is the 10440. It's a "AAA" sized battery and the largest I have are 600 mAH. 300 mAH isn't much difference that the stock battery. Depending on the housing for your battery mod, I think this would be your best bet.

Good luck. Don't try to find spare time, you have to make it :)
