I usually pull mine out around 3.6v-3.7v. But you can go a bit lower than that and still be on the healthy side for the batteries. Try not to go below 3.3v as a general rule though since the voltage sag (depending on your build and battery) may drop the battery below the recommended limit of 2.5-2.8v.

It takes some time to get the feel for it. A good rule of thumb is if you notice a drop in flavor or vapor production, it is likely time to swap. I run squonk mechs, so it just happens that my batteries are normally around 3.6v when the bottle is empty, so I swap batteries when I refill the bottle.

Oh something I forgot. You can put your RDA on a regulated mod and try it with different wattage settings. Get a feel for what 4.2/3.7/3.4 feel like. You'll see similarish performance on the mech.

When you build your coils you can do the same. Test it at 4.2/3.7/3.4 to see if the coil will perform well on the mech.

@Hederath Since you are new to mech mods, the best and safest method would be to get a voltage tester to check battery voltage. It connects on your mech mod's 510 connector. Press the fire button and it reads your battery's current voltage. Small enough to carry with you when out of the house. You can put your juice attachment on the end of it while you vape.

You don't want to run the battery down to 2.5 volts, which will kill the battery. Good practice is to replace the battery when it reaches around 3.4 volts. With EXPERIENCE, you'll learn when to replace it by the quality of the vape.

A Beginner's Guide to Your First Mechanical Mod

Carry spare charged batteries with you in a plastic battery case in case you are out of the house with a low battery. Contact with keys or coins can short out a bare battery for a very unpleasant experience. A battery case prevents that from happening.

If someone has/uses a Mech Mod, this is a Very Handy item to have in your Vape Drawer.

Of course, it can tell what the Voltage Level is of your battery. But it is also Nice to Diagnose what is going on if you need to Tune or do Maintenance to your Switch and Contacts.
