eGo-C battery went flat, and when tried to charge, adapter shows red light but battery has no sign of blue light indication. Left it for half an hour and eventually pulled out to test, only to realize battery was not charged.

Tried to pull out the metal piece in the center of the charger by a bit and charge the battery, there was weak blue light coming of the eGo-C but lasted less than 30 seconds. Left it for another 30 mins to see if its charging, and it failed again.

sounds like a weak connection between the ego and the charger. could be a faulty batt, could be user error.

one thing to remember about batts is that if you screw on the carto/atty/charger too tight, it can depress the center pin of the batt to the point of no return. i know someone that cannot stand to have any of the threads showing on the carto. she screws the carto in WAY too far. same with charging. many chargers and batts have been ruined by this.

if you havent been screwing things on too tight, contact the vendor to see if the batt is covered under warranty or something.

edit: its also possible tha tyou have a faulty charger, or that the charger's center pin has collapsed.

After trial and error, I guess its a faulty charger. I just don't understand why the light on the charger turned red which means there's a connection, but its not charging the battery.

Try again. You just may have not moved the center post enough on your first attempt. It did improve - at least you had an indication after the first attempt that the battery was making some contact with the charger. Don't forget to clean the contacts on both the battery and charger too.

Did pull out the center post even more, but this time round no light indication at all. Guess its time to replace the charger.

It's one of these situations where you won't know without backup chargers and batteries and why everyone should have them.

At this point the fault could be with either the charger or the battery. If the battery has gone defective for any reason or the internal protection is tripped no charger will do anything. (Twists are not happy about being dropped.) At the same time, if the charger is gone you won't know one way or the other until you try another battery on it.
