Battery or Tank issues? Not producing vapor after 3 months.

Hello everybody, I have a question for you all.

I bought the Triton kit sometime around April and all was great. Between now and then I also purchased a 900 battery to go along with the 650's that I selected with the kit. I also bought 5 extra tanks.

Lately (within the past few weeks) I have noticed that there has been a huge decrease in vapor output by all of my devices. I'm talking almost no vapor at all. I'm not sure if this is my batteries going bad already? Or maybe I need new tanks? I regularly replace my coils and clean them often.

Possibly I leave them on the charger too long? Often overnight.

Any input would be appreciated on what I could try here. May have to just order new batteries and start over again?

Thanks guys

1. Are the charge times normal length? (~1.5-2 hours on a depleted battery)
2. Is the light on the charger acting normal (red while charging then solid blue light when it's fully charged?)
3. Are the posts, threads, moat, center air tube, and coil post threads clean?
4. If you have replaced the coils, it's probably not the tank. The tank is basically an extender, it works or it doesn't.
5. As lithium-ion batteries age, they gradually deplete quicker until they will no longer hold a charge.

Check those things, and if you have a volt meter you could go that route. Are all the batteries and tanks acting the same way? Do you have your finger over the air holes?

1. They do seem to be charging in the correct amount of time. (Although I'm wondering if me leaving them charging overnight may be a factor)?
2. Light is acting correctly
3. Yesterday I cleaned the air holes out as well as threads etc... Not sure about "Moat and Center air tube" could you describe this a bit more?
4. Yes, I replace my coils regularly.
5. How long should I expect them to last? From what I've read they shouldn't be going out this quickly especially the black one which isn't as old. For example once fully charged where it would once have a nice crackle there is nothing. I find myself taking draws 5x longer than I used to and there is virtually no vapor..

Perhaps I will order a new battery and see what the outcome is.. Looks like they are shipping Malibu now with a $20 purchase.

1. There is a built in safety to prevent overcharging. Leaving them plugged in overnight shouldn't produce issues, that said I still won't do it.
3. The "moat" is the area around the top of the battery contact. There are two tiny holes at the top. Ejuice often gets trapped there. Roll a napkin to a point, stick it in there and twist it around, you can use a flattened plastic straw to help. The air tub is the metal post in the tank. Without the coil on, look through make sure there's no obstruction.
5. 300 charges, sometimes more, sometimes less.

What's strange is it sounds like the batts and tanks are all acting this way? Maybe you are over/under tightening the coil?

You could take the coil apart and remove the top wick, install into a tank, and fire it up to visually inspect how hot the coil glows.

It sounds to me like your coils are tired. Get a fresh set from Halo. I read you use fresh coils, is that freshly cleaned, or fresh out of the package?

Just to eliminate a possibility, your coils have one wick through the windings of the coil and the second flavor wick on top of the coil, with the silicon sleeve holding it in place.

Have you tried a dry burn? with the silicon sleeve, the little top silver cap and the flavor wick removed from a coil head, screw it into a clean tank. Give it a few 3 second fires. You should see the coils start to glow. And see all the windings glow, from the 2 sides towards the center.

These batteries are very good. Check them with a voltmeter to eliminate the possibility. My 650s are 4.2+ volts fresh off the charger. After ten or 20 hits, the voltage will fall to 4.1 to 4.0 for a long while, before tapering off to 3.8 to 3.7 when it blinks at you. I've had my 650's since October and the VV since December. All are still as strong as new ('cept the VVs, which I use a LOT have shorter discharge times now.)

Be careful with the attached chimney on the tank. It does carry 1 wire for the positive power to the coil, the body carries the negative. I'd rinse it well, maybe spray some water through it. I wouldn't put anything solid up the tube. Break the wire, and the tank is dead.
