Battery or the mod?

I have a number of 18650 batteries, all 30 amps.

(Two) Sony 18650 VTC4 2100mAh High-drain Battery-15C 30A
and two generics.

Both fire a homemade squonker (REO Clone) just fine.

So, I get the provari mini in the mail today finally, with extenders and none of them will turn it on. Not one.

Do I need a lower amp or what?

To make it worse, was a present and my Mr. he was kind enough to buy me TWO OF THEM, neither will work with the batteries on hand.

Certainly it can't be two ProVaris are faulty....

I'd suspect those extenders, but you'd be wise to pop over to the provape forum here on ECF

I'll give that a shot - am very, very disappointed. I took one apart and stretched it a little in case that was the issue.

The extenders are most likely to blame. If I'm not mistaken the use of them is also grounds to void the warranty on the Provari.

Oh wait, did I misunderstand you? Did you mean extenders that allow the Provaris to take 18650s? That won't void the warranty. I thought you meant extenders that make flat top batteries into nipple tops. The Provari needs nipple top batteries, as r77r7r said.

Manual says five. I am raiding his flashlights which have a button and charging right now, lol.

He never keeps `em charged anyway, lol.

button tops DEF needed & even some button top batts wont fire with the provari! AW brand batts are recommended, and won't void the warranty. have fun with your new toys! best reg vape there is!!

Which version Provari did you get? 2.5, P3, or Radius?

The 2.5 version must have button top batteries. This is a built-in protection feature (reverse battery protection) to prevent putting your batteries in "backwards" and frying the processor.

The P3 and Radius versions will accept either button top or flat top batteries.

I run LG HG2 in my Provaris with these. No problems

Using these types of adaptors, or magnets, on the top of flat top batteries will void the warranty on a new Provari 2.5. Using these adaptors is considered a unsafe battery practice by Provape.
