i has some problem here. I used eleaf istick pico 75watt . I used it about 3 weeks using Lg he4 yellow battery and its work fine until i switch the battery and use AWT 18650 black battery 3400mah 40A . After some time vaping the pico will shut off itself and cannot be turn on again. i try switching the batery again to Lg he4 yellow battery and its work again . Its happen several times when i using the AWT 18650 black battery 3400mah 40A . Can anyone explain to me? what is the problem? i think it was the battery. Is the AWT 18650 black battery 3400mah 40A is not suitable for pico 75w? or something wrong with my mod?

sorry for my broken english

I think you need to change your battery.
Firstly the lg he4 can be used on 50 to 60 w.
And depending on the usage and the charger and the seller you got it from it might be "dying".
Try using a different battery and see if the problem persists.
The awts are fakes mostly.
Otherwise just get a new one preferably with higher amperage.
Lg hg2 is a good choice or sony vtc too.

The awt 3400mah has an insufficient CDR to use in a single cell power device.
It is most likely a 10a cell because there there are no 3000mah 18650 cells with more than a 20a CDR.

The lghe4 is a good 20a cell, the awt is a re wrap falsely labeled & rated.
I agree. I don't think there are any 18650 batteries that can output 40a. I think the max is 20a or 25 a.

Just to clarify, 30A is the max (LG HB series). You sacrifice a lot in capacity to get those 30A as they're just at 1500 mah. 20A 18650s can get up to 3000 mah.

You might want to take a look at Mooch's table of recommended batteries to see what's available:
Mooch's Recommended Batteries | E-Cigarette Forum

Like others have said, the LG HE4 is a good battery as long as you stick to a 55 - 60W limit. The AWTs are rewraps and not reliable.

Why is the purple e fest on the recommended batteries?
As I remember, it was their 18650's that were problematic, not the 26650's. What I'm wondering is why two batteries that are supposedly "the same cell under the wrap" are given two different ratings? Aren't they the same cell? Shouldn't they be rated the same, then? @Mooch, inquiring minds want to know.

Different grade cells or different amounts of time in storage can cause that small difference in the rating.

Oh yeah they are 22650s, I don't think the 18650s are that bad either though. I think metallic purple new ones could be rated 20a, I know a few people who've had no problems with them. They are not as bad as they used to be. There's a bloke on YouTube uses them in his aspire archon an mentions he asked mooch first!
The next batch of those metallic purple 18650s could have something completely different under the wrapper. You just can't trust them. As for 26650s, none of the big manufacturers make them so you just have to trust your luck with Efests and other rewrappers. For me that's enough reason not to use 26650 mods.

Just got some new Efest 18650's that do check out as real efest, tested them out and, they claim 35 amp, I got 30 so, not bad. They are commonly counterfeited though so, be wary of them still.

    Which Efests are these?
How did you set the 30A rating?
