automatic batteries: All you have to do in inhale to make them work.

manual batteries: You have to hold down a button and inhale to make them work.

The difference is: With auto batteries you generally have to give it a couple small puffs to let the atomizer heat up in order to get a good pull from the cig. With manual batteries however, you can push the button a couple seconds before you take your drag and it will be all heated up. This eliminates the need to "prime" the atomizer. Manual batteries give more control in my opinion and I prefer them. However, it's ultimately up to you. Hope this helps =)

Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone can tell me the difference between a manual and an automatic battery ?

I'm looking at an M402 if that makes any difference.

Thanks.

cheers
Sally

Don't know if this will help but you can find both auto and manual M402 batts here:

There are actually 3 types of batteries.

1. The manual. Push the button to activate.

2. The auto with vacuum sensor. A vacuum switch activates the battery when you draw on it.

3. The auto with sound activation. A tiny microphone activates the battery when it hears the sound of rushing air to the atomizer. This type of battery is not recommended if you are in a noisy environment. Factories, night clubs, riding motorcycles or snow mobiles, etc. The noise will activate the battery even if not in use.

From a newbie perspective, the automatic batteries are a little more user friendly. They seem easier to use because they are hands free.

It really depends on the users preferences. Each type has its pros and cons.

I have both types, and use them in different circumstances.
