Minne-soda!
I ordered a cupti from sweet-vapes.com and with it two 18650 efest batteries 3000 mah. I also ordered 2 Sony vtc batteries from rtd vapor. It's been quite awhile since Ive used mods with removable batteries. I know that the cupti has built in protections but I want to make sure those batteries will be safe.

The vtc6 of course have the "do not use outside of battery pack" warning which I assume is to cover them from people using them in mods.

Thanks for any insight!

Gonna have to advise against the eFest batteries. They are rewraps and the rating on them is inflated(usually based on the pulse rating). The VTC6 has a 19A rating and has 3000mAh(as per @Mooch chart). As for whether or not they are safe, it depends on what wattage you intend to vape at.

Please review @Mooch battery chart:

I vape anywhere from 22- 38 watts on a .5 coil. That's about as exciting as I get :).

Is there batteries anyone would recommend for the cupti?

for single battery mods i really like the sony VTC5a but honestly at the under 40 watts you vape the VTC6 will be a great battery for you. I just don't trust the efest ones

All on the chart will do just perfectly for 22-38 watts.

On regulated devices you dont need to factor in resistance. Divide the wattage by the cutoff voltage and factor in the efficiency of the mod(I usually go with 90% efficiency to keep it on the safe side) so your equation should look a little like this...

38W/3.2V/.9 = 13.2A

As long as you have an authentic quality cell(see chart) that has a minimum of 14A rating(most are 20A) you will be perfectly fine!

I'd go with the samsung 30q personally. they are a better version of the LG HG2s Based on moochs rating the order for "20 amp batts" would be
1) Samsung 30q
2) Sony VTC6
3) LG HG2
and i say "20 amp" cause he rates the VTC6 at 19 amps and the HG2 at 18 amps

good sites for the US are illumn.com liionwholesale.com and imrbatteries.com

Depends on your wattage. I mean if u vape 10 watts a 5 amp battery is fine. But I can guarantee that those batteries aren't close to 30 amps.

What's your normal wattage?

On the tfv8 80-100 on the g priv with tfv12 170-180

Not good at all. Probably aren't getting those wattages anyway with those batts. If your vaping 170-180 on a dual mod really need Sony vtc5a batts and even then your pushing it. Really need a 3 battery mod for that much wattage safely. Is it all on the gpriv?
