I recently took the skin off of a 17670 batt to see if it would fit in a mod.
It may be my imagination but I thought I heard a slight sizzling/crackling
sound when I slid the batt in and it's metal sides made contact with the
metal of the mod, and when I yanked the batt back out it felt very slightly
warm. I say my imagination because I realise I am paranoid about li-ion batts.
My question is - does the outer skin on a batt serve as some kind of
insulation? I recently read a post about a tube mod and the pictures
showed a stripped batty.
Does anybody know?
