I just randomly checked some of my newer batteries in other sized and got 4.O on them. But I don't remember when I last charged them. Have them in use now so I can recharge them and see what I get.

That is probably a really good idea. You need to get a handle on what that charger is doing. What voltage it stops charging at. I suggest you start from scratch with batteries that are below 3.9V, charge them and see what voltage you get off the charger. If you start with a battery at 4V or above the charger might not actually start charging it.

Let us know what you get and we'll move forward from there :)

Well. ProVape voids ProVari warranties for using non-AW batteries.
That's not true. They "recommend" using only AW IMR batteries a few times on the product page. They do void the warranty if you use magnets on flat top batteries in an attempt to allow them to work in the Provari.

There's too many variables still present to determine if the issue is with the batteries or the Pila charger. Process of elimination is in order.

I used a Pila for about one year. It was a workhorse. However, one of the charging bays stopped working, and I was forced to buy another charger.

I do recall reading the owners manual that Pila does state that their warranty is voided if you use batteries other than those made by Pila. I don't know how they can prove you used other brand batteries though.

I actually never read the ProVari warranty.

I bought the Pila when I had an older version Xtar have issues on me. Never had an issue like this until recently. But I do agree, I need to test some more to see what is at fault before I go replacing stuff.

Well, I've had a couple of glasses of wine tonight and I'm vaping a bit of nic too which I don't do too often ... (good stuff though!)

I was just thinking that since Provape wants AW batteries for their warranty and Pila wants Pila batts for their warranty, they are mutually exclusive to each other. Thanks for the Provape information Bad!

Does Pila really spec Pila batteries for their warranty?!

ETA: I checked the link in cvedrick's post and it seems they do . What nonsense!

I actually did--when I bought mine... I just assumed that was a new thing. Like the signature required.

Happy testing! Keep us posted!

After playing around with my 4 oldest batteries, off the charger, after resting, with a Sophia, or no load at all, the ohms I stated before, the batteries read correctly every time.

What I didn't mention was one of my ProVaris has a Kayfun on it, running at 1.4Ω and 3.8v. The diminished battery life did occur on the other ones, as well as this one. I wasn't counting the Kayfun when I mentioned this. My batteries are reading 3.8 - 3.9 under load with the Kayfun. I never noticed that before with anything I have used on my ProVaris.

So. my conclusion is that all is working correctly. And test batteries on a ProVari not under load.
