Efest and Sony. The efest 18650 that have a 35 amp pull and also 2500mah. While sony have 18650 that have a 30 amp pull and also 2600mah. I know that efest just put their brand wrap around a lg he2 battery but still. If the efest has more amps why do some people say its a bad battery and they do not recommend it. Wouldnt the efest be safer around sub ohming? So which is better?

There's been questions about the intent of Efest when they labelled the purple 2500mah battery with the 35 amp marking. I have two of the purple efests with the 35A rating stamped right on the wrapper. IMO, they last about the same length of vaping time as my Efest 18650 2250mah V2's, but I'm vaping them at a little over 9 watts, not stressing them to the max. It's a good battery for mainstream vaping.

Candlepower forums produces some really good battery tests - this is one
Test/Review of Efest IMR18650 2500mAh (Purple) 2014

If you care to look at side by side battery test results, this is a good one to view. The purple Efest is too new to be in this test, but lots of popular ecig batteries are compared side by side for performance.

This is the type of empirical data that I like to base decisions on. Cut through all the hype and opinions and get the facts then make an informed decision.

The efest 35 amps ........

it sez its 35 A more likely 20 continious with a 35 "pulse rating" but no one has even come up with what "pulse" is... how long a pulse is...
heck, a pulse rating could be 60A for .001 seconds. it could be 35A for .5 seconds, it could be 20A for 500 seconds... it could be 10A untill the battery dies or goes pooof...

Yeah... Imperial Data is Great.

Just as Long as the Battery that you have in Your Hand does EXACTLY what the Battery did in the Test.

I would Always Suggest that a person give themselves a little Safety Buffer. And Not Rely or Push a Battery to the Theoretical Limits of their Specs.
