Not only does the door rattle, but so does the battery inside. I tried wrapping with tape, this stopped the door rattle, but the battery still rattles from SIDE to SIDE, whenever im using it. And I can't add any more tape or the door won't close. I use the red IMR batteries suggested on the website, I didn't have either of these problems with my first mini. Any suggestions?? Scratch that, door still rattling even with tape, but I tried adding just one more go around and then the door didn't want to close, getting frustrated. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! I just want it to feel solid with no shuffling parts.
Cheers, Leila

Hmmm...never had a problem with the battery rattle....I use the aw imrs, and the spring holds them in pretty darn tight....the tape wrap trick is just to put some drag on the door so it doesn't rattle....what batteries are you using? And is your spring ok?

Edit, ok I see you have the imr batt....weird...take a picture of the spring and post it....maybe it's partially collapsed?

If the batt rattling side to side bugs you, just stick a piece of paper or cardboard between the batt and the body, won't affect the door. For the door itself rattling, I find the best fix is to bend the door slightly. It's pretty solid, don't worry about bending too much. Just apply some pressure and test it, little by little.

Mine is tight now.

I actually stick cardboard under my juice bottle to stop it rattling - my feed tube is too short to reach the bottle's bottom without moving the cap up a bit and I hate not being able to squonk those last drops lol

I did have to stretch it out a bit with a screwdriver cause the battery was nearly falling out. I'll order a new spring and see if that helps, thanks!!

If you had to stretch the spring out to hold your battery in place, it sounds to me like your mod suffered a short and the spring collapsed....even if not all the way. I suggest sending Rob a PM and either sending in your mod for a once over or get a spring coming from him and replace it yourself. That will take care of the battery rattling.
As for the door...if the tape on the battery isn't doing it, the method someone mentioned about putting a small strip of double stick foam tape behind the bottle to make your bottle press against the door may be the ticket. Also...you can twist the door in your hands just a little. It should firm up the rattle, but be warned...this is a "AT YOUR OWN RISK" solution. Many have done it without a problem, but if you twist too hard, you could damage your door.
Keep us posted.:)

It may just be your bottle rattling pull it down so the bottom is touching the base of the mod

Excellent point, didn't think of that one. I make sure all my bottles are pulled down far enough that the tubing puts some downward pressure to hold it in place.

If I do that on my Grand, the tube doesn't reach the bottom of the bottle, which I hate lol - can't squonk those last few drops! But then I get that gap under the bottle, and sure enough it rattles around.

High Tech Solution:
Piece of paper, folded in half, under the bottle.

I am selling my REO Mini --black/purple door, Perfect condition, no dings, or scratches. One of the few that doesn't have a rattling door!! Works perfectly, all original contents included: extra bottle, reducer tube, small extra tip, dab of noalox, and Rob's business card. I will also add a purple drip tip, 1 LR501 atomizer (gold) two samples from Halo, Captain Jack, and Bella Valentine. Batteries and charger NOT included. The IMR high drain batteries work awesome with the LR 501 atties.

Asking $150 which includes shipping and full insurance.
Paypal is preferred but if you want to send a bank certified cashiers check that's ok too, but I will not ship until money is received.
With paypal, I will ship Same day if possible, otherwise will ship out following day. Please send me a PM if interested, cheers!! :vapor:

:):):) In 9 months i've never vaped a bottle down to the bottom :)
I never switch bottles (just REOs)so if its getting down to the last 1/3 tank or so I just pop it out and top off.

It squonks sooo much nicer when the tank is full :)

The inside of the collector cup on the one I'm selling is almost level. On my new one, it's slightly raised, so the atty gets full before you see any sign of juice. Makes squonking more difficult.

Time to try the blind squonk....press the bottle in while drawing on the mouthpiece until you feel resistance to the airflow...that's just the right amount of squonk....
