Battery safety on mech mods

Ok. So I bought a new mech mod and I'm loving it. I'm a little confused about the whole battery safety aspect of it though. I'd rather not have my rig explode in my mouth so can anyone explain to me how to be safe with it in a simple understandable manner? It would be appreciated. Thanks

sony vtc4 or 5 are great mech batteries.

if you dont have a multimeter, buy one. Need to it check the battereis charge, check for builds resistance and to check the build for a short.

use an ohms law calc online to figure out how many amps your build is drawing out of teh battery. with the sony batts you can go down pretty low and be safe.

what are you currently using? Battery and atomizer

True, I feel going under .2 is unnecessary really. I'm a cloud chaser myself and that too low for me, it's an uncomfortable vape usually. As stated above, the vtc4's and 5's are great batteries which can carry any build that's reasonable. An ohms meter is a must have as well. I however do not use one, I use my svd and mvp2 for checking things. Read up on these things tho, ask questions and there will be answer's. Don't let being the new guy scare you from asking questions, even if you think their dumb. Knowledge is power.

Just get some sony VTC5's if you don't want to worry about it. I don't even know how you could get close to the 30 amp limit.

ANY battery can hard short and go into thermal runaway under the right conditions, no matter how good the battery is. It is foolish to put blind faith into a battery's specs if you don't know what you are doing.

This.

Don't cheap out on your batteries. If you buy batteries like the VTC5 and etc, you pretty much won't have to worry about stressing your battery at all until you reach the 0.2 ohm and below area. You pretty much have to try to make a coil resistance that low, and I hope that anyone that can make a 0.2 ohm setup knows what they're doing.

Easy, make sure they are IMR bats, and have a 30 amp continuous ratting or higher, and all will be good in the land of mech. Sony VTC 4 or 5, Efest Purple, are both good choices. The higher amp rating bats are not only safer but have more useable power. Batteries and charges should never be skimped on by a mech user.
