Realistically no, i would strongly advise against using li-ion cobalt cells in a mech for sub ohm vaping for two reasons, clearly safety even on LR coils in regulated mods they get quite warm before they reach the bottom of their discharge curve I have never had one of these vent even with a dead short but the danger is definitely there. The second issue here is that for high draw they simply suck, I have seem them drift an entire volt when they reach 3.9 volts or so and its way worse in cold weather, some possible danger there as well maybe as 2.9 volts is a little uncomfortably close to that 2.2v limit.

This is my first time seeing the green Panasonic CGR18650CG 3.6V 2250mAh 18650 batteries.

I'm more familiar with the grey Panasonic CGR18650CH (IMR/hybrid) 2250mAh 10Amp.

Until you are able to determinie if the green CGR18650CG is a "high drain" battery and what its "continuous discharge rating" in Amps is, I suggest not using this battery - and especially not for sub-ohms.

You should never use any battery for sub-ohm use unless you know its CDR in Amps. Coils < 0.8 ohm require an IMR or hybrid battery that has a maximum continuous discharge rate OVER 10 amps. You must know how to determine how many amps a coil will draw from a battery by using the Ohm's Law Calculator. Use "4.2" for voltage and the coil's measured ohm for resistance. The amp draw will be the "current". Do not exceed the amp limit of the battery - this is critical. Also allow some headroom for safety because a coil's resistance can change unbeknownst to you.

If you can not figure out the above computations yourself, you have no business doing sub-ohms.

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected?

BTW, the Panasonic/Orbtronic NCR18650B 3400 mAh battery is NOT "high drain", and only has a 6.8 Amp limit. Do not use this battery for sub-ohm.
