I fully charged my battery but when the cartridge is in the battery flashes as if its dead. when I press the button with no cartridge it stays on. I watched a few youtube videos and they all said to lift the center pin which I did but the problem continues. I did notice that when I hold the button down (with no cartridge) and any metal touches it (the tweezers and needle I used to pull up the pin) makes the light flash and go off as if the battery is dead.
any suggestions??? do I just need a new battery??

Ok, don't touch the pin with any more metal objects. You could cause a short circuit and get some fireworks.

It sounds like the problem is with what you call the "cartridge." The flashes you are getting are the battery device's way of saying that it can't operate with that cartridge attached. You should try another one if you can.

Pictures of what you have would help. A link to a website showing your device would help, too.

I'm inclined to agree with The Dude, here. It sounds like you're using a basic ego-style "vape pen," is that right? These don't have a lot of different ways to alert you to any potential problems. The flashes could mean "dead battery," but since it's fully charged, it's probably not that. The flashing can also indicate ohms too low, ohms too high, or a short circuit. The flashes let you know that "something" is amiss. It's up to you to trouble-shoot and figure out what the problem is, so you can correct it. First step would be to call up a local friend who vapes or, failing that, take it into a nearby shop, so you can get some hands-on troubleshooting and hopefully figure out what the problem is. (Or, try it with a new, 1.8 ohm cartridge, and see if that solves the issue.)
