val, i dunno about a decal that could do that--but a thin hardish plastic sleeve with a silicon or rubber lining (so it wouldn't slip off) would work, don't you think? something that was split up the back and slightly flexible so it could just be gently eased on. i'm making a cover for one of my batts similar to that... but i'm using polymer clay and there's no way that would be sturdy enough to sell. i just know it won't take me long to make and i won't care if i break it myself.

You know the screen protectors for cell phones? I'm thinking maybe something kinda like that. I want to have the option of skin without losing the original battery style.

yes, i'm playing barbie with batteries.

You already get every cool accessory there is from V4L to play with. You should feel like barbie.

oooh belle...they make a silver poly "clay" now that once you have it molded..you can bake it in the oven and the silver melts together and the binding "clay" part bakes off so you get whatever you molded in sterling silver, they make gold and bronze too...Don't know how well a battery would stand up to the heat of the firing though..

vaping barbie would be awesome. :D and yup, val, that makes sense... like those window decals for kids. but batteries end up being handled a lot more by necessity, so i'm not sure that kind of cling-decal material would work--there might be something similar available that i don't know about though.

drozd, i'm going to make a dummy for the baking (okay, i'm just going to gut an auto PT that died and sand it to avoid paint fumes) but i hadn't heard about that type yet... mister google and i are going to go discuss it.

you can find it at firemountaingems under art-clay...and yeah custom .999 pure silver or gold lanyard or battery holder would be rediculous

ooh, drozd, i just found a couple different sources, including copper. this stuff looks friggin amazing... yes, yes, time to play...

It is amazing stuff yes...I've used it to inlay carvings in stone like obsidian also for some silver inlay in a drinking horn I carved for a friend..
and yeah I know several sites have it but fire mountain has a bunch of different tools to work it with too and Swarovski crystals and rhinestones if you're gonna go bling it up crazy..
