I've heard a lot about the 14500, 18650 batteries or ones close to those two in the modding section of the forum.

Any place in canada.. shop.. business.. etc.. that we can find those higher voltage battery ? (exemlpe: the 14500 I saw was 900mAh, 3.6V, UltraFire is a brand I see often in the forum) or any better suggestion you might have..

Are we better, Canadians, to stick with waiting for lpace like DealExtreme, or use eBay ?

Im from Montréal if it help you about stores proximity

thank you guys

Hi Doc,
I buy all batts/chargers from deal xtreme - no shipping charges and much cheaper. So far it always got here in 1 week..
ie. DealExtreme: $5.48 Ultrafire 18650 3.7V "2400mAh" Rechargeable Lithium Batteries (2-Pack)
But if you're in a rush you can always get from Battery junction in the US - fast shipping but costs lot more..!
Li-Ion 18650 3.7V 2600mAh rechargeable battery FULLY PROTECTED with PCB Lithium Ion
Good luck!

Thanks a lot Misty for the info.. and since we are both from montréal, make it easy to calculate the approx ETA of a DealExtreme order. I sure didn't find any of those in a store like Radio Scrap. Im sick of looking around, i'll just order from DX

Doc:)
To add to your confusion ..
This is the kind I buy for 18650 Trustfire protected
DealExtreme: $8.01 TrustFire Protected 18650 Lithium Battery (2400mAh 2-Pack Gray)
- High rate discharge, no "memory effect"
- Short circuit, over-charge and discharge protection

I also have the blue Trustfire you mentionned -
DealExtreme: $8.98 TrustFire Protected 18650 Lithium Battery (2500mAh 2-Pack Blue)

As far as Ultrafire vs Trustfire from info on the site:
Ultrafire batts are thicker than Trustfire
Trustfire runs better at higher currents
