Battery Stain?

Hey all:

Have a SONY VTC4 that is beginning to look as if it's stained.

Is this battery acid, or something else leaking? The positive and negative ends look ok, not bent or damaged in any way.

I don't think any liquid has come in contact with the battery. I've used it in a mechanical mod, and it's been stored properly as well.

I've included a couple pictures.

There have been a number of posts regarding this issue. No positive conclusion as to the cause but does not effect the battery's performance.

I have a couple Sony's doing the same and agree with AzPlumber, some Sonys seem to do that. Dont know why.

Google homestly works better than the forum search function for me...

The wrapper is separating from the battery casing you are seeing an air pocket. You can always re shrink wrap your battery if you notice that it starts to get caught or peel inside your mech. You do not want the battery case exposed.

The cheap glue used on the inside of the shrink wrap? lol i have no idea. As long as they take a charge, hold voltage, and no case is exposed I vape away with em.
