Dois this exist? A battery that records the date, time, duration, wattage of each puff so you can download the data and use it to track your quit attempt? Could even have Bluetooth and a phone app with groovy graphs and so on.
Sounds like you're more of a data collection nerd than I am! Never heard of a mod like this and I doubt most people who have been vaping for any length of time would be interested. There are a number of phone apps that let you track your progress without needing such detailed data.
Get yourself a dna Chip and that is the most Data collection out of any MOD I have seen so far. Some say they would not buy it because they think you must use a PC to change the settings but they never did RTFM.
The Evic did this years ago, statistics on how much you vape how long you took pulls etc... Joyetech eVic starter Kit - Joyetech (scroll down to the software info)
Building that into a battery wouldn't be feasible but statistics built into mods isn't a new concept at all.
Wait, wait - there was one that did stats on usage, and let you ADJUST THE NICOTINE LEVEL on the fly. Seriously - it like mixes nic with your juice "on demand" from separate tanks. Does that ring anybody's bell? I still can't remember what it was called - but you'd adjust that, after seeing your stats: puffs, nic intake, etc. A real Nic-Quitter-E-Device...

The Bluetooth connected Android app that SMOK uses with their xCube II mod will track most of that, though I never checked to see how much or which paramaters are stored on the mod for collation when you connect to the app.
I don't know if any of their other, and current, mods have BT and use the app.
Their new H-Priv (?) is an update to the xCube (sort of) so that's a contender.

I've never investigated the DNA's "Research" tab so I can't say if it has a way to extract date data from the mod.
It does collect... Puff time and count, resistance and some power and temp parameters.
But that's all.
But it is "Vape Research" oriented so it can lock off or limit all of those. Grab yer lab coat.
As to the mods themselves... because each maker sets the profiles (or doesn't) to their own whims, a stock DNA is damn near unvapable, to say nothing about the 90% of the user adjustable aspects which can only be changed in EScribe.
Yes... you do need a PC to get much use out of a DNA mod.
I could see this type of information being useful to someone weening themselves off nicotine and eventually vaping as well.
The 1st mod I saw with these types of features was the evic supreme and that's why I didn't want it! I self regulate nic and vape as much as I please.
Never used those puff counters-stupid feature imo.
