I started the 1st of the year with a V2 and switched last week to a V-Go and I retired the other batteries the next day. They were only lasting about 2 hrs of charge. I had to wait an extra 1-2 hours for the other battery to charge to use. My V-Go lasts all day long so far. Haven't had to use the second battery in the same day. Just alternating they every other day. By the way, my V-Go is the the same as the E-Go. Just depends who you buy them from. Hope that helps you...... Happy vaping.....

Technically, the V-Go is a copycat of the eGo, just like the Riva is a copycat and not a re-brand. However they're all 510-compatible and will work with your existing stuff as well as open up other options like the ability to use the tank atomizer system. The Riva and V-Go are longer-lasting than the original eGo (750mAh and 900mAh respectively, compared to 650mAh), but the eGo is now available in a 1000mAh size.

The eGo, Riva or any of the many branded versions of the eGo are definitely the right upgrade path. Keep in mind that the regular 510 wall charger will not work with the eGo/Riva batteries without a charging adapter. Consider a kit so you get the charger and everything. Liberty-Flights Riva is about as economical as they come (be sure to click the 20% off graphic in the upper left corner).

Totally agree -- get the Ego or try Ego T. I'm pretty new too and hated the idea of the fatter battery-- but it only took a day and it didn't matter.

It is quite confusing with the same products being sold under different names, but I am slowly getting that down. An Ego is a fatter battery that goes with the same type atomizer set up you have been using and there is a cone that goes over that so it looks nicer. The Ego Tank looks pretty much the same, but has a fatter tipped mouthpiece and the tank is a no filler material chamber that holds about a ml of liquid. TW calls them Tornado.

I got a "ego" mini starter kit which includes 1 set up the faster & applicable USB charger to check it all out. Soon after I got a Tank starter set with 2 batteries & of course, another charger. Kits seem to be best price! I use both set ups and with interchangeable parts it works well for me.

I do think the tank has system has gotton some mixed reviews---but I have been very happy overall with the brand new one I got from Cignet.

I have not liked cartomisers (the ones with the cartridge and atty attached.) Personal opinion.

if you just want 1.5x the battery live go with 510 Mega xl batteries - same diameter, same charger, different PCC. They are about an inch? longer and are 280mah vs 180mah for the short ones. I also recommend manuals if you have autos. No primer drags to warm it up etc.

If you want 6-8+ hour life (or longer with the fat mega batteries) you need Ego or Riva 510. A different more powerful charger can be used (but it cannot be used on 510 batteries). Different PCC if you even need one. And you can use your attys and cartos on it OR you will have the option of using more powerful low resistance parts.
