Hello all.
I am new here and want ti say "Hi".

I didnt use my vape 3 months ago.Yesterday i wanted to use it again, but for some reasons,it didnt want to turn off, recharging not aswell.
So i opened the thing where batterys are and saw one of them is like little bit burnt or something like that, and there was some kinda liquid (i guess from batterys).

I wanted to get new batterys,i cleaned the batterys storage, but i am afraid to put them and use again. What is the best way to clean everything inside where batterys go?

Thank you!

Hello and welcome to ECF!
There are people on here who know more about me when it comes to cleaning your contacts and battery tray up, maybe take it to your vape shop when you buy the new batteries. Your device is regulated so it keeps you fairly safe, BUT the one thing that is 100% on you, is battery safety. I would not consider using those batteries again, not a chance. If you think one has vented or has any damage at all, dispose of it properly and get a new set. In the future, if you are putting the mod to rest, take the batteries out and store them separately. I use a few of these to keep my married batteries safe.

Can you post a picture of the battery tray and more importantly the battery contacts in the device so that people can better advise you?

Just out of curiosity, what batteries were you using which apparently vented? Make and model number?

Did your battery wraps have any holes or tears in them? This can short out a battery.

What new batteries do you plan to use? Make and model number?

How many watts do you set your SMOK Alien 220 to?

Hi

Used Sony Konion VTC6 - 3120mAh
Buyed same now again.

I used vape for only like 1 month and left it.

60-120 watt but mostly on 60

What are the best baterry for Alien 220w ?
Depends upon the wattage setting that you typically use. You have options:

Are you using a single, dual, or triple battery mod? In the interests of keeping things simple:

-If you use a good quality 15 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 45 watts per battery; 90 watts using two; 135 watts for three batteries.

-If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, you're good for 120 watts as you have two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180.

-If you use a single 25 amp CDR battery like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for 75 watts per battery, 150 watts for two batteries, and 225 watts with three.

-If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts.

WATTAGE PER SINGLE BATTERY on REGULATED MOD:
(Total wattage doubles using 2 batteries; Triples using 3 batteries.)

I assume that you are not vaping over 180 watts even though your mod allegedly can make 220 watts. If you are only vaping at 30 watts, you won't need two 30 amp batteries as that would be overkill. You'd benefit more by using a higher mah battery for longer battery time. You get my drift?

I don't know what happened either. Assuming that the liquid in the battery compartment was not e-liquid, it must have been electrolyte that spewed from a venting battery. Now the question becomes, what caused the battery(s) to vent?

My first thought is your using a SMOK battery device. SMOK doesn't have the best reputation for reliability or quality control. They are one of the few manufacturers who had to do a recall of an entire line of mods (SMOKtech Groove) because of reports of spontaneous fires and/or explosions a few years back. Believed to be from poor product design or sloppy manufacturing techniques.

I personally would never use a SMOK product, but I admit that I am biased based on SMOK's dubious past history.

I asked you earlier if your batteries had holes or tears in their wraps which could have caused a short circuit. See below video.
