Hello. I just joined ecf cause i had an unanswered question. i have been using ecigs for a while and have used this forum to get questions answered so i had no need to join. however, i am in need of a new battery. i decided to look up big battery mods to rid myself of trouble. i had known they were quite expensive so i looked for cheaper ones. Long story short i stumbled upon the volt box 2aa mods on mad vapes. i was wondering, are these basically the same as the silver bullet and omega but with varying volts? And my most important question, are there any sold that do not require cylinder like batteries? i.e. are there any that i can just connect to a charger and charge it? also i use a 510 with cartos

Not even close to the same build quality as the sb and omega. They will still work fine but most people keep box mods for at home vaping. If you are out and drop it no more vaping.

Buy a quality tube mod before getting a box mod. There are some nice vv tube mods such as the Buzz Pro, Pro Vari, and Lava Tube(a budget vv mod).

In terms of usage, the box mod are quite like tube mods such as a Buzz Pro, but the built quality are incomparable. If you are looking for a mod which does not using a cylindrical battery, try The Darwin. It use an internal battery (kinda like your 510), unchangeable, just plug the device to the usb to charge, also can be use as a passthrough.

I do just the opposite. I carry a cheapo AA box when I'm out and about. They're small, fit in the palm of my hand, and if I drop it and break it, no biggie.
The Provaris stay at home.

Thanks for all the quick feedback. I was really intrigued by the idea of the Darwin, until i found out about the price lol. If i cant afford a silver bullet, i dont think i can even dream about owning a darwin. I do like the idea of even being able to use it as a passthrough, which is why i also like the janty stick. However, I'm low on money and just ordered some 510 cartos. Are there any like the janty stick or darwin that are cheap and for the 510? If not I think I'll just go with a cheap volt box.

I've bought and tried most of the common devices there is to try. Slim cigs, Egos, E-Powers (14650s), 3AA VV box mod, and the latest is Indulgence V3 (18650). These are all cheaper alternatives and I don't have any complaints except the slim ones. Everything is there, vapor production, TH, reasonable battery life and juice-feeding. I have no desire on purchasing any more other than 2AA box mods. I may buy two. One is pre-assembled and one is a DIY kit so I can try my hand in making my own mod. There's beauty in going for cheaper types. They're worry-free. They're cheap. You can always buy another. They perform well, too. My 3AA VV box mod (which was finally set at a fixed 3.7V after all the fiddling with higher voltages) is still alive and kicking a55. The 2AA will probably last longer because it's completely mechanical.

I'm thinking of maybe getting something like a boge revolution v2, the 1400 mah one. I'm a little skeptical because it doesn't have the capability of changing between volts but hopefully it will do just fine. I like the passthrough ability and the feeding system is nice. However, I've been hearing that the feeding system is a bit flawed but i think it can be fixed with a simple tube inside the bottle and the build quality is very cheap. Do you guys recommend i go for this? Or is there something else out there like it?
