Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago I ordered a BB and the BB usb passthru from Altsmoke and loved them both immediately, lately I've found myself being tethered to my computer because the passthru is noticeably more satisfying. I'm wondering if this is usually the case or....what. With the passthru, more vapor, flavor is stronger, and the vapor is slightly warm which i really like. So I guess i'm just looking for a little validation, would this make sense or has anyone experienced this before?

Also is there a way I could make the BB more satisfying? Now its taking the 14500 battery and a regular 510 atomizer. I have tried an LR atty on it but that was all bad, totally burnt out within 4 pulls on it and the puffs were almost unpleasant anyway, Maybe it was a dud and i will order another.

When I had a BB my setup was utilizing 2 cr2s and boge cartomizers, of course altsmoke will recommend against this but I never endured any problems with it. If you decide to stick with the 14500 battery i suggest LR cartos, much harder to kill and requires less refilling, or if you're feeling fancy, PTB modded ce2 cartomizers

You don't mention what the resistance is on your normal or LR atty. You might try getting a LR with a resistance that is closer to your original if the one you tried was too hot. Another option would be to try a LR version of other atty models using adapters. 901's and 801's are considered by most folks to give a cooler vapor. If you're not sure what resistances you have now, an inexpensive multimeter $5-$10 would be a good investment. There are lots of threads and info on vendor's sites on how to use them. They also come in handy for other things; a good investment IMHO.

I also have a BB, but not a BB passthrough, so I don't know much about the latter. Is the BB passthrough a 5v? Maybe Altsmoke can answer that. If so, that would clearly explain the difference in the vape. As for LR atties - actually you can get atties in a variety of resistances. Bauway, and a couple of other mfgs., make 2.5 ohm atties as well as 1.5-1.7 LRs. Ikenvape, and perhaps some others I'm not familiar with, make a 2.0 ohm atty. Experiment a little, and I'm sure that you will find your "sweet spot" for vaping.

The BB's are now machined differently so that the cr2s dont fit in there, i did try them tho.... ohh did i try lol.

I dont know what resistance the LR atty was, it came in a little baggie as a sample with an order of juice, only said LR on the side. I think we have a multimeter tucked away somewhere, I'll go hunting for it today.

Also note that the 14500s (although rated at 3.7v) come in at 4.2v off the charger and run there for a while. Just a thought to consider when trying to balance voltage and resistance on atties...

The BB is a great mod, congratulations!

I will keep that in mind, i haven't noticed any difference with the BB but on my joker i chase the freshly charged batteries and switch them out much sooner than i probably should lol

I don't think the passthru is at 5v but i just sent a question to Altsmoke. I'll make an order somewhere for a variety of atomizers as soon as i can. the oh so elusive sweet spot.
