Anyone else have problems with their bb passthru? If I plug it into my computer, as soon as I hit the button, I get a power surge error on the usb port and have to reset it. I tried a 110v to usb and plugged it into that and the power light on the adaptor goes out when I press the button.
No atomizer action at all.
Please help

This pass through is a direct connection. Other pass through may do the same thing. A usb power pack would work best. The BB pass through will not work on my pc, but it will work on my wifes pc. The 110v to usb probably has a protection circuit to shut it down. The BB pt will pull current of approx 2amps. I will post up some links of power packs and wall trasformers in case your computer has current limiting. What os are your running?

Same here on the other mod PT. Most wall adapters for chargers don't push enough current. You need at least 1.5 amps.

Markarich159 found this one:
USB Dual Power Adapter
The web site looks a bit funky, but I got mine in 3 days. Works great, pushes 2 amps! $3.90 shipped!

Yeah Lotus is right, I was having a hell of a time after getting a few other direct connect 5V passthru's. My work computer could power them, but I didn't dare even try to plug them into my home laptop or desktop. I bought several wall -wart USP adapters from radio shack/walmart/target etc..., but none that was rated at 1AMP or under would work(they just kept constantly tripping). I finally found the link that lotus provided above and, Bingo, vaping perfection with any direct passthru. It DOES also work , outstandingly well with the BB passthru. Other mobile options that worked for me (and others I've heard from are):

The Kensignton power pack:
Portable Power Pack for Mobile Devices - K38021US - Kensington (I got mine on clearance at Best Buy for significantly lower then the $59.99 retail)

and the APC Power pack: APC Mobile Power Pack, 10Wh these are getting harder and harder to find, you may be able to get one on amazon.com.

Also Quovadis turned my atention to the Tekkeon Devices:
Tekkeon - myPower ALL, MP3300/MP3400/MP3450 which allows multi voltage choice as well as a boatload of power.

I would assume that since the BB PT add on has a standard DC connector, that wouldn't need a "USB" adapter necessarily. Any 5V(or other voltage) DC adapter with the proper male connector(supplying sufficient amperage) should do the trick. Hopefully , Chad will show us a few that we can pick up locally.
