Becoming a Verified Member

If a Moderator, Admin or someone who knows for a fact, can you please advise on a few questions I have been trying to get answered on becoming a verified member?

I have trolled the threads / posts in the classifieds, searched various FAQ and help threads as well and cannot get the answers I need.

Q: Upon PP verification registration. Does the email address that was used for the ECF registration have to be the "Primary" PP email or does the ECF registration email just have to exist within your profile? (ie: secondary email address)

Q: Within the ECF verification form where it states "What is your contact email address?" and "PP email address" - do these both email addresses need to be the same email address (identical email addresses)? Can the contact email address be an alternate email address?

Q: How long does the verification process take after being submitted? - How long until becoming a verified member?

as i understand it, and joker was pretty explicit about these issues at the beginning of the process:

your primary pp email does not have to match your ecf's registration email but there has to be a matching email registered with pp

on the verification form your contact email needs to be the one registered with ecf - your pp email needs to be the primary email so joker can access your info

remember, your pp account needs to be a verified one - the process usually takes about a day. if there is a problem joker will get in touch with you

Other then PP and Ebay, the only other way to get verified is through other Members. Which I consider a hard and arduous journey compared to how easy it is to get verified through the other methods.

The purpose of this post: I think there should be at least 2 other options for Verification, especially for those who don't wish to use Paypal or Ebay.

Just my 2 I'll crawl back under the bridge now.

Notifications are set on my mobile device as well, so even if I weren't behind the big screen... I would be notified via mobile alert and / or notification.

Typically I'm not an impatient person, but it just seems as though ever since I started my vaping crusade (almost a month ago) there's always been a speed bump when it comes to getting a complete order through a vendor. Whether its item is out of stock, a back order, shipping delays, lack of communication from a vendor, long delayed communication from a vendor, item isn't as it appears on the site, Vendor doen't process orders on certain days or during certain hours of the day, and so on and so forth.... and I guess being off the darts for 3 1/2+ weeks isn't really supporting the cause either.

I bought a stack of halfway decent disposables to hold me over until all my gear and juices come in.... and I've already put a heavy dent in my supply

Just a little frustrating navigating through the sludge. It's not like running to the corner store, seeing an item, picking it up in your hand, liking it, paying for it, owning it then enjoying it. Minimal time elapse process involved... most of the time.

It just feels as though my vaping journey thus far has been that of a magnet for delays. I found a piece in the classifieds I have been looking for, for a while now, and the seller is being really awesome about waiting for me to become verified and basically holding the items for me exclusively.... and I just feel bad, even though it is his choice to do so, to make him wait so I can purchase these items.

Anyway... enough ranting ( sorry if this post has come off in rant style.... but after all, I guess it was a rant )

Gonna take a few more tokes of the throw away and go walk off the rest of my frustrations ....

I shall return frustration free and fully refreshed.... I hope

why would not being verified hold up a sale???? anybody can buy! you need to be verified to be able to SELL in the classifieds ....

joker has been very prompt in the past but, i believe, all or most mods hold rw jobs.

Not sure why it would hold up a sale... but the seller had advised that he would wait until I was a verified member in order to sell the items to me.

Piece of mind for the seller perhaps...? Not really sure about that.

I mean... I am a stand up guy.... as stand up as they come and I'm a firm believer in karma.... seen it come to fruition on both sides of the situation many, many times.

I have been a registered member in excellent standing with PP since 2004 and have used PP many times for purchases on the internet and eBay as well.

I may just shoot another PM to the seller and advise him of this delay and ask if he is willing to sell to me without the "Verified Member" stamp in my title.

It doesn't look promising I'll get verified again today (thus far) so I'll shoot the seller a PM and ask if he will sell to me without the stamp...

very strange attitude of the seller - the purpose of verifying is to protect the buyer, lol - since the seller does not send the items until after payment is received .......
when you get ready to complete the transaction read up on the guidelines for buying and selling here, they are laid out nicely by joker in one of the stickies.

it is not about an official vendor,it is about the Classifies

The only thing I can't do as a Member of this Forum and a Supporting Member is leave Feedback for the people I've done business with in the Classifieds. Both Buying and Selling. I'm not a verified member but I've done well over 10 transactions in the last 2 weeks and had nothing but positive and glowing feedback left for me. It makes me feel so bad that I'm not allowed to leave feedback for them in exchange.
