Hey guys,

nice to be here, looking for some help.

I was told to check out lecig.com and their d1 starter kit.

Also, the Greencig300 I believe I was told to look into.

Now, after scrolling through this forum, I come across the Volcano Magma 510.

And the really interesting one is the Revolver Elite starter kit.

I am beyond lost at what to do.

Brief description of me:

Half a pack a day. One cigarette an hour/two hours.

I like a good strong throat hit. Smoke Regular American Spirits or Camel lights... Marlboro reds are alright but ughh...

I'd like to stray from all of the dripping and stuff with the eliquid for now and just get used to the ecigs themselves... If I have to buy a bunch more cartridges in order to sustain myself for a month or two, that is fine.

I like the idea of a PCC and would love to have one.

Any ideas/companies/products I should get?

Spending limit at first for a starter kit would be say 80 bucks?

Thank you, let me know if I can elaborate on anything.

Appreciate it!

The LeCig D1 and the Vapor4Life Vapor King are tweeked versions of the same model - the Kr808D-1.

If you want a reasonably small cig-shaped e-cig with a good throat hit and not much fiddling, this is the one. Slightly bigger than a 100 cig, but worth it for the increase in performance.

I'm going to have to disagree with wv2win, to an extent. I get a great throat hit off my Kr808D-1. Much better than a 510 or 901 at 3.7v or under. In fact that's the primary reason I keep going back to it, having tried a couple other models.

No doubt you could get more throat hit at 5v, but the Kr808D-1 already gives me more than a cigarette. A fair amount more.

As far as maitnence, the Kr808D-1 is pretty simple. I just refilled the cartomizers by dripping into the hole in the bottom. Give it a bit of a shake, and it's good. That's it.

Eventually they'll get a little gunky and you can either chuck them out, or wash them. I've had hit-or-miss results with washing.

But, it can very, very hassle free if you want it to be. It also has the best battery life of any mini or super-mini standard e-cig, and there is a PCC.

I'd skip the Revolver, personally. They're 3-pieces, so they're fiddly. And they're also super-minis, so they don't have much power to offer, and they have a reputation for being a bit inconsistent. A lot of people here use e-cigs like those for driving or back-ups, but as a main e-cig, they're just too temperamental.

I tried a couple super-mini e-cigs, and some are ok, but none were really powerful enough for me. Stick with the well-knowns that are loved for their performance.

This is a great post for a first time vaper. Check also in the ECF Library, the six part series by DonDaBoomVape. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...st-electronic-cigarette-first-time-vaper.html

However, unlike MistressNomad, while I started on the Vapor4Life vapor king, and liked it quite well, I tried the 510 with atty/cartridge and liked it even better. Still, to each and every one, his or her own!

Yes, they really do have their own strengths, and it depends on what you need from an e-cig.

For me, the throat hit and the warmth is a deal breaker. And to me, the Kr8 wins there.

For some people, the vapor production is more important, and the clear winner in that department is the 510.

They also taste different. I find the Kr8 cartos have a richer taste, while 510 atties have a "cleaner" taste. Both are good, and it's personal preference.

not sure what happened to my recent post but...

After that link to the best vapes for newbs, I decided to take a look at the D-1 from LeCig.

My question is, what about the Greencig?

GreenCig G400 Starter Kit

She can be found on Lecig.com

Any info on her?

Otherwise, what brand or company should I purchase my 808D-1 from? Lecig is good?

Seems overpriced... especially when you factor in the cartomizers for the GreenCig model - $14 for a 5 pack? The cartomizers for the Kr8 models are $7-9.

I've already read the GreenCig cartos are REALLY difficult to refill. You have to basically take them apart.

Personally... I'd still go with the Kr8.

As far as where to buy them... well, depends.

They're more expensive from LeCig and Vapor4Life. But there is a reason for that. They've been "tweaked," and some people like it.

But to me, being on a budget, it's not worth the mark-up. I bought generic, and I have no complaints. My kit cost $35 from ElectroNicStix.

MN posts some very good points. For me the hassle free aspect is important. It's not a hobby for me nor do I want it to be one. I went throught the hassle of a 3 piece (M401) and got insanely sick of it and kept going back to cigarettes. I love my V4L VK (KR808). Most of the time spent with the VK in my hands is spent vaping it, not fiddling with it.

I am a huge vapor4life fan. the 510 is okay its what I started with and their ehh. The vapor king batteries are great but you should know the vents on the batt clog up. It happens to all batts I have tried so far. These vents are little holes going around the battery right under the threads. All you do is get a sewing needle and unclogem and you are good. You should also know like all rechargeable batteries, they eventually just die and you have to get more. You might like to try vapornine.com and get the spark plug. this thing is incredible. The vents are huge, and it takes a battery that can last the whole day. And the battery only takes about 30 min to charge. The batts are on about $9. and the ones I have I got about a month ago and they are still kicking huge plumes. The vapor4life cartomizers are great but the liquid and the blanks are cheaper and you get more for your money. I hope I helped.

Ok. I'm going to jump in here. If you want a REALLY impressive vapor hit that even slightly surpasses the kick you get from a full flavor smoke try a 5 volt mod with a kr808 (V4L) cartomizer.
Did it recently with a 5 volt GLV 2. I'm buyin' one-o-those puppies!

I am replying because your smoking style seemed a lot like mine :).

I started with Blu/Volcano but it still was not enough. I tried my husband's 510 and I didn't like the manual battery ( I know I'm not normal there lol ).

I found Modern Vapor online and chose the Sidesho. The vapor is very good and consistant, very smooth draw and much better flavor.

The starter kit comes in many colors/designs and the PCC you said you were looking for. They have pre-filled carts of different flavors to start and juice to sell after if you decide you want to fill your own.

Another thing -- excellent customer service and lightening fast shipping. They stand by the product even after you have it in hand which is important too. Not to give you another ecig to check out but all the reviews for the Sidesho are good ones and I can say from personal experience, I don't crave anologs anymore and my Sidesho is awsome!

Good Luck!
