if you don't mind waiting, fasttech.com has great deals on clones of all the expensive mods people are buying. they might take about a month to get to you though from china with the free shipping....but hey....when you can get a 1:1 clone of a $200 mod for under $30...how can you complain? i know there are two sides to every coin. some think clones are like stealing. but then others think that if companies would lower their prices for the originals and/or keep them in stock and not do small releases of the mod here and there, they'd rather buy the original. personally, i would rather have a real nemesis....but the clone does the exact same thing and i got it for under $30. i vape all day....while i work, at home, everywhere. if i had a $200 mod and dropped it at work or something, i'd be pretty ticked....but if my $30 mod gets scuffed up - oh well. i can get another one if i want it to be "pretty." anyway, good luck sticking to the vaping, man. it helps to have a community to be a part of for support. we've all been there. we all used to smoke the ol' stinkies.

Slugtech! That site rocks! I got my VTR from them! Only took me 15 days in the mail. I am having issues with their shipping right now.

Stone, if you are tempted to do Fast Tech, enter that name in the ECF search, it is under the general vaping category, me thinks. There is a whole thread of discussion about the place. Go to the most recents. There are many methods of shipping with them, and read on that thread who is shipping fast, and who isn't. If you visit
http://www.fasttech.com/category/1499/consumer-electronics/-/p/1/
Look at the star ratings, click on the item of interest, and read the reviews and discussions. Now, I know many shipping methods do not allow batteries. Look in the FAQ's to find out. If you go for a mod, buy your big batteries from American vendors.

I just threw some good vendors at ya!

Edit-you do need a PayPal account for Fast tech. Also, if you want to pull the trigger on something, click the item, on the right it will say "ships in #days" if it says "in stock" or "ships next day" you should be fine. FT is the Chinese equivalent to Amazon for electronic doo dads.

Congrats and good luck!!!

I have a little over 2 months in and I'm hook line & sinker in. I think it's because as a many years smoker, I loved it but was aware of the potential health hazards. And like so many I always went thru the trying to quit and always falling back to it.

I've come to believe that the reason why most here are so enthusiastic and helpful is because we have all been there, wanting to quit smoking , trying various methods, skeptical of everything" to help you quit" and invariably failing because whatever substitute just didn't cut it. Then one day we try this and are blown away how it actually works & we switched. And then we can't stop sharing our experience because we found something that deep down we all enjoy doing and have found a better alternative. So when a new person comes and says hello and is excited to have switch, we all remember how excited we felt when we found ECF

As far as the funds go, living in New York I was spending a ton on smokes. My attitude is I'm funneling that cash into the hobby to perfect my vape and finding liquids I enjoy. I will probably slow down at some point but right now I'm really not spending a penny more than I was smoking

And remember every cigarette dodged is a win!

btw....if you've got $60, this would be an excellent setup from fasttech that would last you until something bigger and badder caught your eyes (as of now, this is about as big and bad as they get).

Nemesis Style Mechanical Mod - $26.68
Variable Wattage Kick Module For Mechanical Mod/PV - $8.33
Switch Magnets for Nemesis Mod (10-Pack) - $2.40
Pre-made Wires and Wicks for Atomizer (50-Pack) (2.4ohm, 33 AWG, 4-Wick: 50-Pack) - $2.28
Aqua Style Rebuildable Atomizer - $20.00

Total - $59.69

That would give you a clone of the best mod on the market, one of the best tank atomizers on the market, 50 coils/wicks for your atomizer pre-built that you can use until you get the hang of building your own coils, a kick to adjust the wattage so you don't fry your coils or get burnt juice followed by a weak hit from battery drain, and magnets to replace the spring in the firing button so it's nice and smooth for you. Not saying that this list is "THE" gospel, go to, everybody's choice favorite....but it's what I would recommend for anyone new, or experienced, as a daily vaper. Good quality clone and everything you need but the juice for under $60. The only "issue" is the time it takes to ship....but like i said....$15 gets you a cheap ego at any gas station to use until you get your better gear in the mail.

Oh....and while I'm making recommendations anyway....the place I go for my juice is vaporrenu.com. About $7.50 for 30ml and a good selection of completely customizable liquids. Flavors are a little muted in single flavor shot, so you'll want to get a double or triple flavor shot...but otherwise, everything tastes like it's supposed to, the customer service guy, jason, is a cool dude....will even customize more for you if you email him. He can make flavors that aren't on the list....like if you wanted grape/apple/cherry/vanilla or some weird combo, he'd hook you up with that.....all around good source for juice. Coupon code for first time buyers is nujuice for 15%off and renu every time after that for 10% off.

Cheers guys! Im gonna take on board what you said and have a look at everything! The VTR does look sweet, was watching a load of youtube videos yesterday and the vapour that thing creates is pretty epic! Rayzr I will defiently check that out. Im like a kid in a sweet shop at the moment there is so much choice!

Yeah totally agree with you KBMP529 I enjoyed smoking anologues cant beat that first smoke in the morning with a coffee and especially after a big meal! Thats what was so hard about quitting before I discovered vaping. It gives me that back plus the heath benefits! I wanna invest in something decent so their isnt any chance of me starting again, but to be honest i havent even craved an anlogue since I got my Evo setup and thats entry level vaping! Ive already saved nearly £70 in not buying analogues. Thats the other decent thing about it once you stop you free up cash to spend on vaping products its a win win situation!

Nice... Roll on the 28th payday!

Still undecided with what im gonna go for. The VTR does look like a bit of a brick and will be a pain to carry around especially for work so that could be an investment for a few months down the line and be my home setup. Also them batteries shouldn't be and issue I just spoke to one of our suppliers at work and they stock that particular battery appreantly its used in high end flash lights. So there will be no need to ship them from China.

Still no urge to smoke. Its been 8 days £72.83 saved and 171.37 smokes eliminated. My lungs feel great and food tastes awesome!

Venerable Vaping has the case for the VTR. Kind of cool looking!

The VTR is a brick, but my battery lasts me about 8 hours vaping between 3.8 and 4.1 volts. You don't need to drag a ton of supplies if you are gone for a long time. Just a bottle of juice and an extra battery if you plan on being gone for over 8 hours. Not bad. If I am out for a couple of hours, I just fill the juice to just under 3ml, pop in a charged battery and run right out the door!

Think I might get it. Found a place in the UK thats sells them. A lot more expensive than fast tech but will ship in days... so impatient! I love the design and I'm sure ill get used to carrying it about. I can always use my current setup for when I'm out and about.

VTR by Innokin

You are considering using that Vendor?

Good price, but I can beat it for you. By pennies, but at least it might save you from the....the....the....(where do you start.....?)
