I haven't been keeping track of my vape money spent. My conservative guess would be 2-3,000 spent over the last couple years plus. I fell victim to shineyitis along with co-ops and kept on buying gear I thought was better than what I have. I began rebuilding not for money saving but better vape quality, mix my own juice so I know what I'm vaping so today I sit with my army of PV's and attys, batteries coming out of my ying-yang, wick and wire for generations to come, all kinds of DIY juice steeping and nic in the freezer. I'm totally self sufficient now and been for the last 6 months, all I spent on recently has been some DIY flavorings so I can ride the wave until I think I need something that I really don't need at all. :)

My spending has decreased now. When i first started it was a race. Seen a mod, had to get it. Why i just said heck with it. Went from mech to sigelei 150w saved money that way. If not i would of fell into the ladder system with gettin 30w than 40w etc. Just saved steps. Juice is cheap tho. Think i save on cigs which is roughly a grand or more a year so im still under budget lol

I have been vaping for just over two weeks and have bought two mods, two tanks, a couple packs of coils and a lot of e-liquid. So allot more then I would of spent on my old analog addiction, but I love my new hobby and won't ever look back. The bad part is I told my girlfriend it would be cheaper to vape vs. Smoking lol boy was I wrong lol

I wouldn't worry too much about it, spending money in the beginning is normal when you're trying to determine the best tank/dripper you want along with whatever flavour you might like. I'm not one to have more than one mod because I'm quite familiar with going overboard and if I didn't control myself I'd have 10 or so sitting pretty on a shelf. And tanks, I have a couple for different flavours, along with several drippers for the same reason. But most of my expenses are on the flavours, looking for something nice I can replicate or make myself.

I'm sure that my spending will go down as the year goes along. I bought my last two mods together in order to get the best of both worlds. One for on the go and is smaller (IPV D2), the other is a dual 18650 (Smok X Cube II). I almost vape the Smok exclusively when at home.

Do you use the same settings on both mods? Or do you experiment a little more with the X Cube II?

I haven't played extensively with TC on the X Cube II. I just set it to 490F on "Max". Looking at the app, it tells me that it is shooting up to 65-70 watts. On the IPV D2, I have it set to 50J and 530F. The funny thing is that the D2 doesn't give as warm a vapor or the flavor as the X Cube. I'm running the Crown tank on the D2 and the Aspire Triton on the X Cube II.

The IPV D2 does the regulating quite well there at the moment I feel, the chip is pretty fantastic but yes you don't get too much of a warm vape unless you go higher on the temperature or use a crazy sub ohm tank like the Maganus or Herakles. 530F should give you a decent warm inhale I think but maxing everything isn't such a great idea on a single battery mod. You'll be changing batteries every few hours. I guess that's where those dual battery mods shine. It's fantastic on the power mode though, for non nickel/titanium coils. I have an X Cube II as well, but I prefer the IPV3 Li and it just works better for me but when I'm out I just want something smaller.

I used the Crown .5 coil while waiting on the nickel coils to come in the mail. I have to tell you, it was an amazing vape. Good flavor and a above average cloud. I'm thinking of getting a RDA next. Great, I'm already looking at spending more money!!! :)

I like the term used in these forums, "shinyitis." I belong to another forum, one for bass players, where we call it GAS or "gear acquisition syndrome." And believe me, playing electric bass guitar is an expensive proposition, even compared to vaping.

I imagine it is an expensive proposition. I hope that this "shinyitis" calms down. To the point that I'm spending less than $100 a month.

Initially I was needing new Kanger coils pretty frequently, which got pricey, but switched to Arctic which was a birthday present. I was spending a bunch on juice, maybe 45mL/week & $5 for a coil every week or so, some premium liquid, some house - but then I found Vapemoar.com and buy 120mLs for $20 which lasts at least two weeks. Bought an istick for $35, first mod was donated, first tank was also gifted. I have yet to sink a ton of money into this but I'm really broke, so that has a lot to do with it.
