It's a secret!
Her aunt found out the week after she finally took one of the ecigs I'd offered, that she had cancer in her lymphnodes. She has to go back for more tests to see where it spread from. She's been a heavy smoker for at least 30 years.

We covet your prayers. She professes to be saved, but it's been a while since she's been to any church.

Holy Father, we as a group come to Your footstool in humility, to ask for this precious life, to stay with their family for many many more years. Lord, as one who smoked, I understand the control of addiction and the price it wreaks on the human body. I know You can utilize this time in her life to be as close as a breath, to comfort, and heal. I stand in the gap for her, asking that healing flow from Your fingertips into her body. Make Yourself real to her, Lord, like You did to my momma. Show her the lengths of Your love as decisions need to be made. I know healing comes from doctors and breakthroughs all the time, guided by Your Hand. I trust You, Father, and Your Will for her life, to be fulfilled to the fullest. Lord, I also know there are different types of healing. For there is healing for the spirit, soul and body. Father, I ask for all three, with blessings overflowing as only You can do, not leaving one thread hanging loose. Lord I ask that You calm the fears for the family, quiet their silent anger, as she needs them to support her decisions. Lord, I thank You for helping, loving, healing, comforting, and providing all needs for this family at this time of the year. Give them optimism, faith, and hope to endure. Thank You, Father for everything You are about to do. For it's in the Healing Name of Jesus, I ask, Amein.

Thanks everyone!

Yes, I know Church doesn't save anyone... that was my nice way of saying that though she professes salvation (it's North Carolina.. everyone is "saved" if you know what I mean) I see little evidence of it in her life. She never really speaks of God, doesn't ever go to any church, leaves the room when any of the rest of us talk "Bible" at get togethers...

Should have just come out and said it I suppose. My concern is more for her spiritual health than her physical, but prayers for both are certainly very much needed and necessary.

Thanks again as it means a lot to know that my ECF brothers and sisters are lifting her up in prayer!

Jesus had compassion on the crowds and healed them....I'm sure many of not most of them had no belief in Jesus as their savior. Yet, many believed on him because of the miraculous things he did. May your wife's aunt be shown the compassion of Christ and through her healing, his glory be shown to all those around her.
