So it has been 24 hours since my last analog, now my SO wants an ecig!

At the moment I have ZERO desire for an analog, I am hoping this trend continues.. I have been vaping Applewood since about 1PM yesterday, through my brand new KGO and dual carto tank. Yay me!!


My girlfriend has been smoking for 30 years and now that she sees me not picking up smokes she is also interested in a KGO.. The thing with her is she is a DEDICATED smoker, and completely uninterested in flavors, all she wants is something that tastes like her marlboro lites. Anyone have any advice on that? She tried my set up and indeed loves the TH just not the Applewood flavor.

I think I will order her one this week.. She also doesn't like the tank. She thinks its too manly looking...

Might want to let her try out several tobacco flavors ... Pure Cig (as kellie mentioned above) is a good one ... also 555 (I get mine from Smokeless Image, but I'm sure others will do, too), Cowboy, Desert Joe, and SI's Ry4.

I really do like all of those. Maybe she will, too!

I can't address her need for a Marlboro "taste-alike", but I think time will change her attitude about tanks when she tires of constantly topping off. Vaping and related hardware is gender-neutral.

Congratz on the switch! I've been analog free for a little over two months and haven't looked back. I still enjoy the tobacco flavors but I am finding that I like to switch out to sweet flavors like caramel, vanilla and some fruit.
My advice on the gf is to just vape on, get some tobacco flavors, maybe she'll come around but you have to let her come to it.

She'll get over her fondness for tobacco flavors in time. There really is no such thing as an ejuice that tastes just like a cigarette. Get her a few tobacco flavors and by the time she figures that out, she'll be more receptive to other flavors. Hopefully, by then she'll also be off the analogs. Nobody was as hard-core as me. 40 years, the last 15 of them smoking 3 packs a day. Like everyone else, I wanted something that tasted just like my brand. Within a month, I had given up that fools errand and moved on to flavors. I still like an occasional tobacco flavor, but none of them tastes like a Winston and that's just fine with me.

Oh yeah, get some boge cartomizers and an atomizer or two to try different flavors before committing an entire carto to one she might not even like. If she's using a kgo, there are other larger cartos that can be used and they don't have to be topped off as often. Some of them hold darn near as much as a tank.

Nothing tastes like an analog, but if you are ordering from Vermillion River, their Kentucky Premium is a good vape. I also like RY4 from Ikenvape. (Hard core Marl lights for 32 years, here.)

i was a huge marb reds guy, i didnt want anything but, but when i switched to vaping i quickly realized that i hated reds, and any tobacco flavoured juices that i tried. i am strickly a strawberry juice guy now. i havent really branched out much as flavors go. lve tried apple, which for some reason makes my face sweat and after a couple puffs its quite bitter. i have tried "dragons tear" from ec blend but that is a once in a while vape. until i find something that loves me like strawberry i will stick with that. in my case though i have gone back of forth with analoges because of atomizer problems with everything i try. it seems that i am just cursed to get poorly made or super short life spans with attys.

Get her some of her favorite fruit juice, or perhaps even some red bull alike thing. I discovered quickly I did like menthol, as I smoked 2 packs l&m lights + 1 pak kent menthol in 2 days. I was like I don't want to vape melon/apple etc. My favorite now is watermelon with a touch of strawberry & menthol

Also make sure you have backups in place ! Give it 2 weeks and you'll never want an analog again

Did you check out the Sticky Note at the top of the New Members Forum? There is a good discussion in there about tobacco flavors.

Good suggestions in here about RY4 and 555 seem to be the most popular, Desert Ship is another type that I've heard people like also.

As to a 'Bro Light "taste-alike" that might be tough. But I know some similar including the unburnt cig smell, Mr. Vape 'Special Blend' is close, as is their 'RY4' (more on the aftertaste than the inhale).

Any tank is going to look weird on a kgo. It'll look top heavy regardless of what it is. You might want to look into the Vision Stardust cartos. They're made for kgo/ego type PVs and hold quite a lot of juice. The Vision Stone tanks look less "manly" as well, but they're still top heavy looking on a kgo.

Honestly, after months of unsuccessfully trying to find an e-liquid that replicates the flavor of a cigarette, I've given up. The closest you'll get is something that tastes like chewing tobacco. You just can't replicate the flavor of smoke without, well, smoke.

That being said, I've more than gotten over it, and she probably will too. Vaping is just a different beast, and eventually she'll find some flavor that she likes.

First off, congratulations on quitting.


Secondly - I REALLY doubt she'll stick with the heavy tobacco flavors. VERY few do. If she does quit smoking and picks up vaping, I give her a year before she's into fruity flavors and sweets and the like. =)

Hey for 37 years I was a dedicated RYO smoker and the idea of enjoying non-tobacco flavors was completely alien to me...so I know how your gf feels! I made the (wrong) assumption that if it didn't taste like a cigarette, it wouldn't satisfy me; boy was I wrong.

Just make sure she keeps an open mind to all the options out there going forward.

Congrats on the switch. For your girlfriend, you may want to get a bunch of tobacco samples & let her try them, I thought that's what I would need when I switched, I was wrong. The one that worked for me was coffee & dark chocolate. They were strong & had a lingering taste in my mouth, just what I needed.
