Hey Gang,

About 8 months ago I bought my first e-cig: a 1000mah eGo-C TWIST with Kanger Evod tanks. That was awesome and all...had fun with it and then i kind of got sick of the evods, so i stepped up to a Protank. That was amazing, and then i got the Protank 2..even better. At this point, I feel like I've dabbled in this stuff enough to invest a little bit more money (not too much). I take this eGo c-twist with me to work and it takes a beating sometimes. At this point, the little voltage twist on the bottom of it is so worn out that the numbers and notches are almost disappeared. So I've decided to make the eGo c-twist my work vape, and I want a NICE PV for my desk at home. So far I've looked into a couple devices; the Tesla, Provari, and eVic to name a few..and I was just wondering what are some people suggestions? I feel like this is choosing a new car to buy, or new computer, or whatever--everyone is going to have their own suggestions and opinions about what is good and what is bad.

So to make this easier, this is what I'm looking for:
  • Quality - High quality without sacrificing my credit card. Something around $90-100 would be my max (not including atomizers/cartos/etc)
  • Long lasting battery - This 1000mah eGo c-twist is alright, but i can drain it in about 6-8 hours if i want to. I want something that I can vape a ton, and accidentally forget to charge the battery overnight and still be fine the next day.
  • Reputable - Not some off-the-wall sketch piece that not too many people know about. I hate to sound materialistic but I want something that has built a reputation and will hold through in the long run until I decide to upgrade again (which hopefully i won't have to after this piece for quite some time)
I hope you guys can help me out with this. Just give me some ideas! The PV's i've looked at are impressive, and maybe a little bit overwhelming. Not really quite sure what the difference is between VW and VV, but I'll read into it more and see. Also, the price thing is negotiable. If something is really worth spending the extra money for because it is THAT good, I can understand that. I'm a firm believer in the 'you-get-what-you-pay-for' motto. If it means me buying completely different atomizers or cartos, then i'm cool with it. I just need something more!

Thanks!

The only two that fit your requirements are the Reo grand and the Provari with an extension cap, but both are a bit more than $100.

I've had both and both are excellent devices. I have to give the nod to the Reo but I doubt you'd regret either one.

I should add that with these devices there won't be any real need to upgrade again unless you're buying another Reo/Provari

The difference between vv and vw was huge to me. I used to be all voltage but after switching to wattage I don't think I can go back. Just keep it in the 6 - 8 range and you will find what works best for you.

I upgraded by just a tiny bit. I went from an ego twist to the I taste 3.0 and the difference is amazing at very little cost, the only thing is the battery life is a bit shorter then the twist 1000, but it acts as a pass through and for the price you are suggesting you could by 2 and have money leftover.

I get about 225 puffs before it starts dying, but if you have a micro USB you can charge and use it anywhere. It's not as fancy as some other mods, but it's as discreet as an ego with better results. IMO.

Innokin products are king as far as bang for buck, in my opinion (and many others). MVP 2.0 has absurd battery life (2600 mAh internal), the SVD (tube mod) "telescopes" allowing you to use any size battery without extension caps, just twist the telescoping bottom cap, and the VTR takes a single 18650 only and is duuurrrrable. All can be found for under $100 (well under $100 for MVP 2.0). All are VV/VW, have a resistance meter built it, and have proven their worth amongst many, many users. All 3 will satisfy most vapers. All 3 can be found at www.myvaporstore.com, although there are cheaper sites out there (pretty sure SVD is $99.99 and VTR is $108 there but I know I've seen them cheaper).

And then get a pro tank or a tank from IBTanked.com for starters. And get some good cheap e-liquid from Mount Baker Vapor (get Blue Moo, it's the best blueberry milkshake you'll ever vape) - best BANGSSSSS for your buck. Oh and the ProVari's not big as you think it will be. When I recieved my standard one I was surprised how perfect and solid it felt and fit in my palms. I can't imagine how the mini provari mini is.

For $25 I took a lot of people's advice here and upgraded to the itaste v3 around the holidays. It was an affordable way to ease into vw/vv, and I have no regrets. Innokin products are well built, and once you fall in love with the v3 you can upgrade to the MVP and still be under $100. ;)

I agree with partyannimal. I forgot to mention the VV in my previous post. Awesome way to ease into VV/VW! I got one for my girlfriend and we both like it a lot. Same general shape and size as eGo style batteries, but such an improvement. Tons of great features for the price.

I should have probably mentioned at the beginning that I'm not a huge fan of the box style MODs. Definitely interested in the tube style. I almost bought an eVic last night. I put in my credit card info and clicked on the place order button but it said that my email address was already in use and it wouldn't go through....perhaps this is a sign....the Provari is SOOO expensive though!!!! :(

you get what you pay for in this case....if you want low maintenance great flavor the Provari and a carto tank like ib tanked or a "j" tank would be excellent choice. high end quality, classy.....darn now i want a Provari ;-)
