I confess I really love "my Beer!"

I enjoy getting home from a long day at work (sitting on my back porch) and kicking back a few "cold ones." And a smoke always went hand-in-hand with it. So with that said I was afraid to try and quit smoking. I thought in order to give up the smokes I was also gonna have to give up my other enjoyment. I mean quitting one is bad enough but both at the same time! The thought of it was overwhelming. So I always kept putting it off. Then I was turned on to the kr808d-1 and I knew (right then) that I could have the "Best of Both Worlds" ...So now I enjoy my beer and simply have my e-cig to accompany it. vaping has really made things easy. Sometimes I feel spoiled with this phenomenal product.

Did anyone else have those thoughts about quitting smoking ?

LOL @ Justindew's post!

I know how you feel. For me, it was a big balloon glass of red wine and a long, skinny cigarette. I can still feel how they felt in my hands and how I gestured while holding them and talking. It's so much more than an addiction or habit...it's a part of you after awhile.

I actually gave up my precious wine because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to give up the analogs. Tomorrow is a month without a cig and 3 weeks without a drink.

I'm gonna wait a little longer and then I'm going to have a glass of champagne while vaping. I think it's only fitting!

Yeah when my wife got pregnant this time around I decided to give up smoking and drinking for her just so she didn't ever have to suffer. I find myself not missing alcohol at all really anymore. I get my fix off of life itself and no feeling like .... in the morning after over indulging.

That is one of the most considerate things I've ever heard. You sound like a fabulous husband!

I have to agree about the waking up in the morning. I'm a lightweight and got drunk easily so it seemed like every time I went out and had 2 or 3 drinks, I'd be hungover in the morning. Maybe changing my lifestyle and keeping it to just one or a wine tasting here and there is a good thing.

There are many who enjoy beer for the taste and enjoyment of it. Getting "....-faced" (excuse my language) is not what I meant.

I wasn't meaning to say you like to get ....-faced I was just saying my personal experience is that I dont miss it as much. I find myself vaping like crazy instead of drinking. I am tempted to try a little beer flavor juice as well. Glad to see you found something that worked for you though.

i really can't say i was worried about it (because i'm switching merely for cost and flexibility these things have) but i wasn't sure vaping would be enough when it came to drinking. I was wrong because I didn't need a cig at all yesterday and think i educated a few soon to be new converts. ...at least before i leaned too far back and broke the plastic chair i was in and had to go change into beer-free clothes...lol

That's exactly how I felt about my wine. We used to go tasting the new ones every season and we've been to a few micro-breweries to do the beer flights too.

I just hope that I can do it without wanting to smoke.

Sorry if I got a little defensive Justindew. For many people the only time they ever have a smoke is when they drink. And usually those people tend to bum one when they are in fact "three sheets to the wind" ...but for me I can simply have a beer or two and then that major cig craving kicks in...if I didn't have a smoke with it I felt like I was missing out.

I knew there would come a day when I would quit and I just resigned myself to the fact that I would have to go "cold turkey" on both beer and smokes.

Damn - I really sound like an alkee don't I - LOL

I quit smoking in 2002 for about 2 mos, pre and post some major surgery, my first quit ever. Maybe 10 days after surgery, but before resuming smoking, I decided to drink a beer, and this long-time beer lover found it tasted weird and unpleasant! In nearly eight years since, I've maybe had as many beers as I typically might have in the normal month or two in the old days. Switched to red wine, the kind the French cardiologists drink! <g>

As a fairly new vaper and a regular drinker, I had the same fears about drinking without my smokes, and to be honest I even like vaping better when I'm drinking.
I'm regularly a chain smoker when I'm drinking, easily puffing back a pack of cigs in a few hours at the bar. The first night out with my e-cig, it was kind of a fun conversational piece with people, and I really didn't mind not having a cig. Yesterday I was at a cookout and drinking pretty heavily(more mojitos and margaritas than beers), and I absolutely loved the never ending puffs I got with my eGo and a cartomizer.
