Am looking at getting a Pulse 80W with a Recurve, a couple Samsung 18650 20S, and some prebuilt 3.5mm 6 wrap 30gx4/40g quad core fused clapton coils from AVS. Was planning on vaping from 40-60w or so. If my math is correct, this should work fine. But i'd like some second opinions just to be sure, also do you guys think I would be able to last a day of vaping between two of those 20S batteries? Oh and I was thinking of getting one of those flask battery holders from imrbatteries and wasn't sure how reliable they would be, doesn't seem to have any ventilation and magnets + batteries sketch me out.

4 batteries should be plenty for the day for most folks, maybe overkill for pocket, purse, or manbag imo. That's close to 8000mah, heh, that would last me about 6.3 days of vaping. But 60w is quite a bit different.

It would be nice to know the material the Battery Flask with Magnetic Closure for 4 18650 Batteries - Black is made of.

I have had good luck with the cheap 2 cell plastic cases, the Xtar case having a higher quality latch and fit compared to generic. Worth the $, but I still put a rubber band on it, loose batteries are no bueno.

HTH!

Getting two more batteries might be pushing my budget, but yeah 4 would definitely last me the day! So does everything else look alright? My main concern was coil compatibility with the tank and battery amps

why not go with some 3000 mah 20700...then tou could get 9000 mah outta 3 cells
A little more expensive, plus i'd need to get a new charger because my Nitecore D2 isn't compatible. Also the most recommended 20700 seems to be a pain in the .... to get, and I haven't heard a lot of good things about the iJoy's aside from their battery life.

at 60 watts something like the hg2 would give you alot better battery life...at 0.3 ohms which is what those coils should work out to be you are plenty safe and will get much better run time....the 20s are great cells but probably a bit more then you really need on a regulated mod at mid range wattages

My Pulse 80 is set up with 20700 Sanyo 4000mah and a Dead Rabbit RDA...The Sanyos are hard to find but worth it....I bought a compatible charger then found they fit my Nitecore Digi 4 better...My coils are homebuilt but @ 6 wraps so that should be fine....Dead Rabbit is single coil and I want the legs dead straight where they enter the posts....I vape wattage only....Coils are 3 or 3.5 ????? and oming at .31 according too the Pulse...Wattage is set at 29 and that provides a nice long drag...I've got plastic cases for 18650s and use silicone condoms I got for free with the 20700s....the condoms came with included batteries in an Oceanus kit I ordered three of....I'd get the plastic cases if it were me....I'm filling the Pulse with the Geek Vape flask....Ordered a Lost Vape fill bottle and the threads were boogered up.....

i have a year old D2 that i use for 20700s...the 5 spoke ijoy 20700s would be just fine in a regulated mod ....little saggy used with a mech though
They actually fit? My D2 doesn't have them listed but I have read that some people still charge 20700's in them anyways. I'm a little worried about charging a battery on a charger not meant to handle said battery though.

I have the D4 and they fit in mine. Barely, but they fit. You just need to be careful inserting and removing them.

The D4 isn't listed as supporting them either.

I honestly would get the HG2's if you're only vaping 40-60w and you want an 18650. You're going to be constantly swapping batteries if they are only 1500mah.

I think 20700s are a great option in the Pulse

Have you looked at these?

OEM INR20700A 20700 3000mAh 30A Battery

Not sure if they are Mooch rated, but folks say these are better than the IJoy 5 leg 20700's. It's possible these could be an OEM wrap of the Sanyo 20700A, but that's just speculation on my part. If you are going to need more than a 15A Sanyo, then this might do the trick.

I usually stick around 30w, so I use the Sanyo 20700B (15A)

those 15 amp sanyos are the 20700b which will work just fine at 40 to 50 watts and at 4000 mah your runtime would be double the 20s so in therory 2 cells would get you the same runtime as 4 of the 20s....and actually be cheaper in the long run...and again if you are concerned with cost the lg hg2, samsung 30 q or sony vtc6 are 3000 mah cells that are more than adequate at your listed power levels and cheaper yet
