Ill post this up also on the Ask the Veterans forums, please ignore the duplicate

Hello every1! Im new to this world of vaping and so far so good (only 48h without a cig). Got a Tornado II slim for starters, only tried two, a 'standard' eGo(i think thats the name) and this one, found the Tornado a lot better, probably because the airflow control

Now the question, what difference would I find if i switch the default atomizer tank for a Aspire Nautilis Mini? I know my current resistance is 1.0 ohm and the nautilus works with 1.6/1.8, not pretty sure what that means though. Help me here!

Also there is any other part apart from the atomizer which might change/improve the smoking?I guess the battery isnt important there

Thanks!

It looks like you have is a rebranded Joyetech eGo ONE Mega. Works just like the "old school" ego battery except it can fire down to 0.5Ω.

The original Joyetech eGo One came with 2 coils. A 1.0Ω and a 0.5Ω. Did yours come with a 0.5Ω coil? if so, have you tried it?

Yes, you can use a Mini Nautilus on your battery. The airflow will not be as open as you can get on your current tank. It will be great for M2L (mouth-2-lung) inhaling but restrictive as far as direct lung inhaling.

In general:

Lower Ohm Coils Will:
  • Heat The Coil Faster
  • Produce More Vapor
  • Drain The Battery Faster
  • Use E-Juice Faster
  • Produce A Warmer Tasting Vape
Higher Ohm Coils Will:
  • Heat The Coil Slower, Which Will Produce “Less” Vapor
  • Provide A “Cooler” Tasting Vape
  • Use Less E-Juice
  • Prolong Battery Life

Nope, it came with two 1ohm coils, but im pretty sure theres 0.5 replacements, the box reads 'sub ohm capability', I guess your point is I should see if I like the ohms lower and if I do I wont like the Nautilus that much, is that right?
What is the reasoning behind the Nautilus/higher ohms being better for mouth inhaling?

And one more thing, posted this in another forum, got only a brief response saying "if you cant adjust the power on that battery youll burn a 1.6 coil", how is that?

Thanks again for your time!

Hi mate.,

Store-steam client here.
Your Ego one/ TW Tornado II will take ANY atomizer with a 510 threading. It will not burn a 1.6Ω coil.
I have been VERY happy with the CLR coils (direct form es.joyetech.com) at 1Ω.
I NEVER liked the stock vertical coil CL heads that came in the kit.

What juice are you using? The wife uses 1.2% in the ego one, I find it more enjoyable at .6%.
We are both MTL vapers.

Cheers

Hola amigo, un cordobes aqui!
Good to know I dont have to care about the Ohms,
First time I hear this CL and CLR terminology though, if I understood well the only difference is the Rs are rebuildable(cotton-changeable)is that right? How is that an advantage in anything besides the cost of replacement?
I dont know what a vertical coil means either :p

Im using 1.2, but as I said just started and wasnt really given much of a choice, it was like:
-how much do you smoke?
-about half a pack
-12mg it is, lets get to flavour

I ordered 6 different flavours of 10ml tobacco juices today, all 12mg because its alright, once I pick my flavour Ill get a bottle at 0.6% at maybe mix em for a while to make the switch smoother

Alright, thanks again!

Tornado II?

That is an eGo ONE battery. The amount of vapor it makes will be more with a lower resistance atomizer. If you put a 1.6/1.8 ohm on it, you might think it's broken, as it will be much weaker.

BUT, you can probably put almost anything on it from 0.4ohm (0.5) upwards.

Rebuildable has the advantage of being cheaper (much cheaper over a long period of time) and on most atomizers allowing flexibility in choosing the resistance of your coil and controlling the power of your vapour.

Where are you? (in the world)... **

** Tornado II in the UK is just an over-priced version (re-brand) of the Joyetech equivalent, then sold by Totally Wicked.
If you want replacement hardware (atomizers, tanks, batteries) it might worth finding out how much extra you are paying for having the Totally Wicked label on everything.
More often then not, people do not realise what is going on.

Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and I have to admit I'm intimidated about how to learn to make rebuildable anything. I am excited to learn how to and I look forward to the great advice you all can provide.
I love to vape and I live in Virginia.:)
