I've been wanting to get into sub ohm vaping for a while, a friend has very kindly pieced together a kit (mod, RDA, batteries and everything else) to get me started and coiled it up for me. He's told me to check the resistance on my evic before I start using it, it's a 0.7 dual coil on a crown RDA. Would I be best getting an ohm meter? Also, what's the best juice to go for when cloud chasing higher VG?

Yup Ohm meter would be a good thing to have.

As for juice, I picked up a four dollar 177ml bottle of Humco Glycerin from Wal-mart (it doesn't say it on the bottle but it's Vegetable Glycerin) and mix it 50/50 with some other juice. I mostly do this with juice that is too strong to vape on it's own, cuts the flavor and makes clouds! I posted a pic of what the bottle looks like in this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ssion/557760-so-whats-trick-smoother-hit.html Post #5

Get an ohm meter, and read everything you can on battery safety. You need to learn how to calculate the amps that your setup will be running and know what your battery can safely handle. You should also know what the margin for error is on your ohm reader and make sure you stay far enough away from it that you're still safe if it's off.

There's a lot to learn in order to do this safely, and learning it all is a good amount of work. However, it's work that will keep you from blowing your face off by accident. Spend a lot of time on the battery subforum and make sure you understand it all before you start experimenting. Stay safe.

You definitely want to pick up a meter, like everyone else said. Also, if you have a smart phone, I would get the app "Vaper's Toolbox", which can help you figure out amperage/wattage for your setup, and can also help you figure out how many wraps and what diameter to make your coils to ohm out at your desired level. It is a handy little companion to help you figure out where you need to be to get the vape you want
