So, I used to smoke about a pack a day for 5ish years.

8 days ago I quit smoking analog cigarettes which was the same day I got my Kanger EVOD Starter Kit + E-juice in the mail. Ever since then I've been hooked on vaping. Since then I've bought quite a few e-juices from various websites along with a new setup that I plan on using since the EVOD just wasn't enough for me. I'm starting slow from the bottom up, but I plan to be using this setup when it comes in the mail:

Kanger Protank 2 (already gotten it in the mail, already in love with it)
K-Go VV 1300mah (Version 1, not V2)

I picked that mod over the Vision Spinner/C-Twist due to the features it has over them such as the display screen that makes things easier along with the voltage locking and pass-thru charging. I paid $45 or so for the setup which was actually cheaper than the EVOD set but I have no regrets. I also plan on buying an MVP 2.0 for when I go out, due to the K-Go battery being a bit too long to use in my pocket, not to mention the Protank will be making it a bit top heavy I imagine.

How did I do though? Was there a better mod that doesn't have a removable battery? I don't think I'm ready to buy something like the Vamo because I like the basic idea of just plugging it in, charging it and that's it. Replacing a coil head now and then and having fun buying juices is what's making this enjoyable.

The great thing is, I haven't wanted a cigarette. I do have 12mg nicotine in my juices and it seems to be plenty to me. I may even bring it down to 6 so I can vape more and get the nicotine rush slower. I do have an 18mg bottle of e-juice for the bad days though, that way I'm always safe. Anyways, since I started, I've been in almost every situation where I'd normally take out a cigarette and not once has it entered my mind further than noticing others smoking. At the point I'm at now, I feel like smoking an analog cigarette would be a downgrade to what I'm smoking now. The tar, 3,997 more chemicals and every other health factor that comes with smoking a cigarette just isn't worth it. I'd rather have a mildly different throat hit compared to a cigarette that I'll adapt to and enjoy, than to continue destroying my body.

Anyways, this is definitely going to be my thing now. I hope my wallet can handle my interest in this.

Congrats on the first step and welcome to ecf.

My transition to vaping was fairly painless, I did have a few rough moments but I vaped like a locomotive through them and I'm still here ;) nothing like my previous experience trying to quit any other way.

I'd say your off to a good start with your gear. This forum is full of great people and most are more than willing to help out if a question or problem arises. You only have to ask.

I have yet to save a single dollar since quitting smoking... But who cares :) I smell good lol

Congratulation on quitting. eVod is actually a great tank and you should be getting pretty good vape from it. It actually uses same atomizer head as full scale ProTanks. Spinner or other eGo style batteries should be plenty good to power those tanks. So, not quite sure why this setup isn't quite "doing it" for you, but set right level of expectation on devices even if you are upgrading. If you want better control, "Twist" models with VV should give you better performance.
Since APV is something we touch often throughout the day, there is nothing wrong with wanting better ones. However, it is really easy to waste lots and lots of $$$ initially if you rush it. Take it slow and stick with something that works for now.
Ultimately, the flavors and vapor are ones that will help you quit for good. Spend the money on sample juice packs and bombard your tastebuds with endless supply of awesome juice. After few months of quitting, you can reward yourself with nice set of mod that will last and enhance the experience further.
Take it slow and enjoy the journey.
