These tests below only note my personal ESTIMATED ratings for these batteries at the time I tested them. Any battery that is not a genuine Samsung, Sony, Murata, LG, Panasonic, Molicel, or Sanyo can change at any time! This is one of the hazards of using “rewrapped” or batteries from other manufacturers so carefully research any battery you are considering using before purchasing.

Misusing or mishandling lithium-ion batteries can pose a SERIOUS RISK of property damage, personal injury, or even death. They are not supposed to be used outside of a fully protected battery pack and you use them at your own risk. Never exceed the battery’s true continuous current rating and keep the plastic wrap and top insulating ring in perfect condition.

Testing batteries at their limits is dangerous and should never be attempted by anyone who has not thoroughly studied the dangers involved, understands the risks, has the proper equipment, and takes all appropriate safety precautions.

If the battery has only one current rating number, or if it only says "max", then I have to assume the battery is rated at that current level for any type of discharge, including continuous.

This is a good performing cell, about equal to the Samsung 40T down to about 3.1V. Below that voltage the 40T will run for a little longer than the K40. The Molicel P42A performs a little bit better than both the K40 and 40T though. The 45A “max” rating of this Vapcell is useless, ignore it.

This is not a Samsung 40T rewrap! I do not know what cell they are using though and I do not know how this cell’s cycle life (overall life) compares to the Samsung 40T.

This is a long cell, about 70.6mm with about a 21.3mm diameter, and it has a slightly recessed top contact.

The two cells I tested delivered 4005mAh and 4007mAh. This is great consistency and I am rating them at 4000mAh.

I would prefer to see these rated at 3900mAh by Vapcell though since the two cells I tested cannot be the lowest rated ones in the batch. The big manufacturers like Samsung, Murata, LG, etc., typically rate their cells a decent amount below the lowest capacity you will measure for any cell. For example, the 3000mAh rated Samsung 30Q typically delivers over 3100mAh.

These cells were donated for testing by Vapcell (www.vapcelltech.com). Thank you!
