Hey guys,

Been vaping a while now (since November 2013), and am now in the market for some new 18500 batteries. I've been using the Purple Efest in this size, but am wondering what out there is better?

I'm well aware of what to get and what to avoid in the 18650 flavor, and have recently ordered two pairs of LG LGDBHE4, which I am excited to get.

But as far as 500 sizes go...I'm in the dark.

I guess I could get another pair of Efest, but I'd like something better in this size if available. When I go 350 or 500 mode, the lowest I build is about 0.8 ohm. I save the 650s for anything lower than that.

Thanks!

In my opinion, there's no question that the AW IMR 18490 battery is tops in its size class.

AW 18490 1200mah 18A (new IMR/hybrid)
vs.
purple Efest 18500 1000mAh 15A CDR

(*18490 and 18500 are nearly the same length and can be used interchangeably)

The Tensai 18500 is the highest drain rated 18500 made, it is rated for 22A CDR - NKON | Tensai 18500 IMR 1100mAh flat top (22A) - 14500, 16340, 18350, 18490, 18500 and 26650 - Rechargeable batteries

The best balance of Capacity and MAH seems to be the AW that Baditude linked in the post prior to mine. Not much is known about Tensai batteries since so few people use them(mostly because they don't currently make an 18650 for our purposes) but I can comment on the 18350 Tensai which boasts a 14A rating, and it delivers that rating as I've used them with 0.30 ohm builds without issue numerous times.
