IMG-20111230-00083.jpgYes, I have heard that. I bought a Lava tube and I am not sure they are the real AW's. Here is a pic.

Post at the end of this thread.. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ers-exporters-america-shipping-worldwide.html. I bought my IMR's and 3100 mah AW's from them. I use the IMR's on the Reo Grand because the protected AW's don't fit in them. Squeezes the spring too much.

You could also go to RTD Vapor AW Batteries. He also carries both of those.

Both of them have quick, inexpensive shipping to Canada.

Happy vaping!!

Questions such as these can also be posted in the Canada forum, as most of us local folks will be able to guide you better. ;)

Better? is subjective. There is a group that will lobby for each kind of battery. Protected circuitry vs safe Chemistry. To me, they both work just as well, in my PV's (which is key). I've given you the reason that I use the "shorter" 1600 MAH IMR's in the Reo. I use the 3100's MAH Black ones in all my other devices. In the end, you can't go wrong with either.

As for the lavatube, I'm not sure as I've not had a chance to test my batteries in one. Sorry!

Are the AW protected 18650 3.7V 2600 mah black ones better? Can I use them in my lava tube?

Use AW IMR 18650's in your Lava Tube. The buck boost circuit requires the high drain batteries to work efficiently and safely. Don't worry so much about the mAh ratings. Just get two or three of the AW IMRs and you'll always have a charged battery at the ready.
