There are no batteries that run in a pair can safely supply 220 watts down to discharge level. To safely reach 220 watts you need a three battery mod.
LG HG2 or Samsung 30Q are 20 amp 3000 mAh and are good for 60 watts per battery, so 120 watts in total.
Sony VTC5a is a 25 amp cell so two of these is good for 150 watts.
LG HB2/4 are true 30 amp cells so two are good for 180 watts. Though these have half the mAh of the 20 amp cells so the run time will be short at that wattage.
The obvious issue here is that companies are selling mods with wattages that are beyond the capabilities of the batteries on the market. This is lead by consumers desire for bigger numbers, but does not absolve them of their responsibility to sell safe products.
+1 to everything @sonicbomb said! 3 cell mod is the minimum for 220W or higher! Always do your own calculations, factoring in the efficiency of the mod itself(90%-95%) and cross reference your results with the Amp rating of your cells. Always marry the cells you will be using in multi-cell mods.
Are you using the Smok Alien? If that's the case it's important to note that it has a lower voltage cutoff than most other mods and therefore a higher amp draw when the battery voltage is low. Two 20-amp batteries are good up to about 120w in most mods, but about 105w in the Alien. Two 30-amp batteries are good up to about 180w in most other mods, but about 155w in the Alien. There are no 18650 batteries that have a true amp rating over 30 amps, no matter what it says on the wrapper.
