Tough finding good, all brass capped, authentic (and 22mm) RDAs... save for the Monkey and the Enigima V2. Both of those have SS bases, that are visible. The Pinoy made "Projectile" is all visible brass... but they're so unremarkable otherwise, that it's just another dripper - IMO.

There's a rumor that Faceless (iHybrid) may be making a run of brass Veritas'... but I'm not holding my breath. ;-)

CIA (and Innovape) makes a brass "Halo" top cap for the Patriot (and maybe the flush fit V1.2 version too), so... another option.

The enigma has really caught my eye. I found what claims to be authentic for 49.00. Does that seem correct?

Yes, that's about right. I have a couple of them. The Enigma is an ok atty. Nothing spectacular about it. IMO, the brushed finish is a little rough on the top cap.

I don't need fancy if it works well. I did google the projectile rda and I am intrigued by it. I am scared off of the brass Monkee. Friend had one and it broke real quick.

I dunno. I've had my Brass Monkey for months, and it's been one of my favorites. But once in a while, stuff slips through QC. Was your friend's an authentic, or a clone?

Like I said... unremarkable, but it's cheap, and brass, so if it blows your skirt up... buy one. Worst case... you hit it and think - "meh".

The satisfaction one might derive from an RDA is relative... and stunningly subjective. The more familiar you are with them, the more you can look at a photo of the deck and inside the top cap... and decide right away if it's going to suit your personal performance needs.

If you're buying one for the 'color' of the top cap alone (which is where the cloners really shine - if you're going to copy something, copy it in every freakin' color of the rainbow)... you might as well get a brass clone of a recent design atty that is near universally highly rated.

I have had issues with every clone RDA that I have boughten. From drilling airholes to fixing o rings to shorting out on the drip tip. Want an authentic to hopefully just work out of the box.

Generally they do. I've only had one issue, out of the several authentic RDAs I own, and it was quickly resolved by the manufacturer.
