I currently have the grand, but it's just too big for my hand. So I'm thinking of getting a mini, I only use LR attries (901) and was wondering what's the best battery for me? And given that I vape heavy and like the LR Atties. Anyone know which kind and where to get them? Can I charge these batteries with my universal charger?

For the mini, get the AW IMR 14500. If it stays as the Grand get the AW IMR 18650. I bet you'll have a need for the 14500 soon. lighthound.com has both (make sure to get the IMR's, but they are a little $'s higher than some other vendors) I've had good luck with them. RTDVapors.com is also highly recommended. So is Super T Manufacturing. The first two have these nifty little black zip-up AA battery cases, great for carrying a spare battery, a carto/atty and a bottle of juice. They're cheap and hard to pass up for with no shipping cost on a battery order.

Based on your other thread... I'd hold off on buying the Grand battery until tomorrow. That's one of the beauty's of the Reos. Things have a tendency to quickly work out to what you want.

+1 on the AW IMR14500 for the mini and AW IMR 18650 on the Grand...that's what Rob recommends :)
if you're pushing thru with the mini, suggest you get 3 or 4 since you mentioned that you vape heavy; unlike the 18650 which can last you the day

+1 on RTDVapors and Super-T...both are topnotch sellers

If your charger is rated for 3.7v batteries, you'll be fine.

But some of the older chargers can and will over charge IMR cells. Like the older style WF-139 from UltraFire for example.

You should always check specs before just dropping a battery into a charger, just because its 3.7v does not mean it will work. Otherwise it could be dangerous.

Good point. I didn't think of the old WF-139's. I read about them in candlepower

As long as you don't leave the batteries on the charger much past when the light turns green you won't overcharge them. I've had the WF-139 for many years, as we use a lot of flashlights that use 3.7v lithium batteries.

We, also, have the WF-188. Although I don't recommend doing it, I have left the AW IMR batteries on the WF-139 several hours after the light turns green and the WF-139 has not over charged them.

I preferr the WF-188 only because it has a setting to more slowly charge the high drain batteries which is better for them. I don't like the new spring system and contacts on the WF-188 nearly as much as I do on the old WF-139.

If I were purchasing my first charger I would go for the WF-188 which can be purchased pretty inexpensively from RTD, referenced in above post #2. This charger also gives one the option to charge 3 volt batteries. I don't use it for that as all my 3 volt batteries are LiFePO4 which are much safer for stacking but do require their own special charger.

i've come across this batteries and i wonder if they can be use for reo mini too.

Rechargeable 14500 (AA) Lithium - CGI

if it can be use, it would save me alot of time and trouble so i won't have to order online and wait for shipping. Thanks in advance!

I believe those are unprotected Li Ion batteries. DO NOT USE UNPROTECTED Li Ion batteries. They are dangerous to use in any mod, especially in that small size.
