What are the best batteries to use on a mech mod?

I don't plan on going any lower than .5 and will start at 1 and slowly work my way down.
I am familiar with rebuilding coils and taking proper measurements with my DMM to make sure there are no shorts.

I am interested in buying one and would like to know what would be best to get in terms of Amp Limitations, highest voltage output, mah (battery life between charges), overall lifespan (how long before needs replacing), and price.

Links to trusted vendors would be nice if able to provide.

Thank you in advance.

I agree with generic mutant on going higher than 10A for this application. I think you are then into the 20A and above in 18650's. Here's a chart with IMR and hybrid batteries, their amp limits and cross referenced to coil resistance. Find 0.5 ohms at the top and stay in yellow for your battery choices. I buy batteries from RTD Vapor, Orbtronics or Illumination Supply. All are trusted suppliers.

Thanks for all the advice and resources guys,

I decided to go with (2x) Sony us18650vtc4 2100 mAh 30A.

Is Nitecore i2 Intellicharger a good choice for a charger?

Very good choice IMO.... I run these Sony's as well as Samsung 20r's and like them both but I get a little more linearity out of the Sony over a charge and therefore like them a little more. I run them on .4 coils most of the time so you should really like them. The Samsung do come out of the gate harder but the Sony is just a real good flat power curve to me. Great battery

That is also a great charger!
