OK here it goes, I have the nitecore intllicharger i4 and I use the Panasonic cgr18650ch batteries, awesome combo. I hate to be that guy but I wouldn't trust charging batteries like that unsupervised, let alone in another room as I slept. The internet is an awesome resource for info, but time and time again I see people treat these high capacity , high drain batteries like cheapy AA rechargeables, they aren't and shouldn't be treated as such.
Maybe I'm a little paranoid coming from the radio controlled scene and watching all manner of batteries short out and light stuff on fire. Personally I have 6 18650 batteries that I rotate. When four go dead I throw them on the i4 while I'm home watching TV, cleaning up etc. I generally stay within line of sight/smell of them, they are charging on a large stone surface surface so if they were to start a fire it would be isolated for quite some time. If I absolutely need to leave the house while they are charging I throw the charger into a lipo charging bag, but only if I'm only going to be gone for a short period of time (under 30 minutes). If charging over night can't be avoided I charge them in a lipo bag inside a concrete block enclosure (think concrete block igloo) away from anything flammable in my garage on the concrete floor.
Again I might be paranoid from watching batteries light entire tables of rc equipment on fire, with dozens of people around mind you. And also watching people going to the hospital from burns from the fire or venting batteries. Anyway good luck and be safe.
