just curious, with drippers do you have to change the wick every time you want to try a new flavor?

Nope. That's what is great about a dripper. Some really strong flavors might linger for a bit, but most disappear pretty quick when you switch flavors.

I use cotton as well and usually don't have to change it when I switch flavors.

Uhhhhhh, anyone pay attention to the OP's title. "rba" not rda??

If we are talking just an rda "Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer" as a good starter

Smoktech RDA "Octopus" can find them from $5-10 USD. Easy to build, easy to modify
An IGO i'd suggest the IGO-W over the IGO-L for a triple post with holes in the posts to trap the coil legs over the IGO-L have to trap under the top screws

Now an beginner RBA "ReBuildable Atomizer" I'd suggest the Smoktech RSST Genesis RBA

Thanks for all the feedback. Decided to go on the cheaper side with the Igo=L. Should be here in a couple days to try.

Im sure you will like it. It was my first RDA purchase and I still use it consistently. After your first build if the vape is too harsh you might have to drill out the air hole a little bit. the stock air hole is way too small. I ended up drilling it out with a 1/16 bit. It was still a little harsh for my liking so I drilled a second hole next to the first. More air over the coil means less harshness and more vapor.

I just got my 2nd IGO-W. I have one drilled out to 1.6mm and the other to 2mm. I like the option to build single or dual coil. They were about $15 each here in the US, but fasttech has them for $6, although I do not know what quality the imports are. I will most likely look into a Trident next, since it has the adjustable airflow.

If you do drill out your cap, start with a smaller size first. You can't undo it. I made that mistake with my Octopus, before I acquired the desire for a larger, 2mm hole. Now, I really enjoy it.

For your first RBA, i would 100% recommend anything in the IGO series. I have tried almost all of them and they all perform well beyond their price. Most if not all have a drip well or dish like base and nice large post making connecting kanthal or other wire easy. When buying first one, theres no need to go expensive. An RBA is only as good as its rebuilder. Just remember, know matter how many youtube videos you watch or postings you read, your coil will never come out perfect the first. Never get discouraged because getting it right takes time and practice, but once youve done it, youll be blown away by what your capable of :)
