Looking to purchase another rba in addition to my RSST. Can anyone suggest some RBA (clones) that are:
- aesthetically pleasing (preferably glass/clear tank)
- allow for "cloud-like" vapor production (probably going sub-ohm)

So far I'm considering kayfun Lite (Plus) Clone, Fogger v2, Kraken Clone. Reasoning for clones is I am tight on money. Any tips?

Not cheap! - but I've got one of these, and it's awesome. You can even put two wicks in if you want, and definately best on a mech as it's probably sub-ohm with two wicks. (You'd have to use 32g Kanthal or thinner and lots of wraps otherwise).

Quite light (titanium), very beautiful (IMO), awesome vapour, big tank, glass tank, easy to do builds. But, very expensive, no adjustment on airhole (and quite a small airhole, many choose to drill it out to a bigger size).

Go cheap for cloud chasing, as it probably won't be something you use most of the time, and if you drill it out it won't matter if you screw it up. And it won't kill the resale value if you ever plan to sell it.
Plus, mutilating an artful piece of high end gear with giant airholes is just plain wrong :)

For a site with cheap ones and caps drilled however you want: RBA Top Caps - Kidney Puncher

Cloud production, in my experience, is largely a by product of two things.
1) high VG content.
This is easily controlled by what juice you Vape so I'm not going in depth here except to say that with everything else on life there are trade offs. Generally more VG = less flavor. I have found some topshelf brands find a way to get a great balance between the vapor production people love and good flavor but those juices are usually more expensive. I find I am more satisfied and my juice lasts longer when it's good juice.
2) good conductivity.
I have found that clones struggle with this. Simply put highly conductive materials are expensive and so is good design. I will ignore the fact that clones steal from hardworking people. But in order to drop the price and maintain a margin so they make money they cut corners on the materials and details that make great RDAs and RBAs great. For a good cheap RDA I really like the Patriot. It's not a clone. It's cheap (relatively) and it works great. Perfect place to start building coils and learning about ohms, battery safety, airflow etc. long story short - if you can afford the real thing, save up... Almost everyone I know who has bought a clone, buys another then another because clones just don't perform quite as we'll and they end up spending more than if they had just bought something genuine in the first place.

Can you explain why my Chi-u clone hits just as hard as my authentic Atomo and my Poldiac ?
I also have a AIOS clone and it hits like a monster.

Cloud chasers have learned how to set up their atty to make clouds, Clones or Not.

IMO it is not about price, it is all about the build.

You telling me your chi-u hits as hard as another authentic mod is....well it's:
a) subjective, you're not using anything definitive to prove your point.
b) irrelevant, you're not comparing a clone vs a genuine your comparing totally different mechs.
Now you are absolutely right. No matter how good your gear is, the experience is 100% dependent on the coil you build and that comes with experience. I find it hard to believe that any intelligent person would argue with the fact that better materials make better products. That doesn't mean you have to spend more, it means you have to do your research and know what you are buying. I could make a Vape out of a coke can and blow clouds. But that doesn't mean that it's the best thing to do or even that you would enjoy it. What I am saying is that there are a lot of vendors making crap. Don't buy crap

While I absolutely agree with the don't buy crap sentiment you expressed, there are more than a handful of side by side comparisons that have been done here, on YouTube, on Calivapers, on UKVapers, and on and on showing that there ARE several clones that, from a voltage drop perspective, perform as well as if not better than their high-dollar counterparts.

I'm not saying that people should or should not buy originals OR clones. I'm just saying that an open mind and research are the best tools for a consumer regardless of what the prospective purchase might be.

Yes, there is quite a bit of crap floating around, but putting something into that category based simply on price is a genetic fallacy.

My A7 RDA's cost $17, please tell me what they are a clone of! There is simply no reason that a RBA/RDA should cost $100+.

Someone smarter than me said it a long time ago, and I merely repeat it; Consumers vote with their wallets. The "right" price is dictated by what the market will support. As long as there are people willing to spend that kind of money, the price is right.

And yes, my cheapest rebuildable cost me about $6 plus shipping (SCAR RDA on clearance) and my most expensive, so far, cost me $70.

It was worth it, to me. That certainly doesn't mean it's worth it to the next guy, but I'm the only one I have to please. ;)

I agree with that for the most part. It's just that when a product comes on the market for $130, and a month later there is a copy of it for $30, you have to wonder how the original maker came up with their pricing.

I just ordered an Aga T2.... Once I get and build it I'll put up a little review.

To the OP, I have clones of the Fogger and the full-size Kayfun. I haven't had a chance to build the Kayfun, but I like the Fogger (That's me with the Fogger in my avatar)

Although I have a few friends and relatives in business, I have no experience with building something, marketing it, and selling it, so I really have no idea. All I can say is that there are some things I'm willing to spend money on, and some things that I am not. :2c:
