Best Bottom Coil BCC Glasomizer / Pyrex Tank

Alright Folks,

I've been a loyal reader for long enough - time for my first contribution. The question no one will directly answer! What is the best Bottom Coil (BCC) Glassomizer (Glass Tank / Pyrex Tank)?

For fellow Newbies: Why a glass tank? 1. I personally want to vape as little plastic as possible because I am a bit of a tree-hugging naturalist. 2. Glass tanks don't melt away and leak with Highly Acidic Juices (i.e. Cinnamon or anything that is a really acidic or citrusy fruit vape - my two favorite vapes).

Vets: Please Comment. Here are my thoughts:

Kanger Pro-Tank II - It works pretty well on an EGO Twist Battery, but with my new Vamo V5, my roommate and I figured out why I don't like it anymore - It is too airy for my taste. It draws hot and the flavor is all messed up. I am currently vaping my first custom blend - Six Fruit Under - it is a citrusy flavor with a vanilla kick. It was drawing hot and giving a way harsher throat hit than usual. NOTE: This problem is fixable with an airflow controller, but I have yet to get one. They are usually $4, but I am having trouble finding one.

SmokTech ARO Tank - My initial experiences with Smok were very poor. The DCT tank (a cartomizer tank) kept leaking. I purchased 2 trophy tanks (glassomizers similar to the Pro-Tank) that unglued and leaked all over the place. The ARO tank provides superior Airflow to the Trophy Tank. I also like that the ARO tank is EGO Threaded (meaning you can put it on an EGO Twist battery - or any EGO battery for that matter - without getting a collar to make it look cool)

Aspire BDC ViVi-S Glassomizer - Now, this one is harder to find. I only found 3 spots online that carry it. The best price was vivid smoke. I have 2 on the way. I will repost when I get done testing it out. PBusardo has a great indepth review here: A PBusardo Review - The Aspire BDC - YouTube. It sounds like the real deal.

Please aid in compiling a list of Glassomizer Tanks with your personal experience with them. If there is another thread that is exclusively about the pros and cons of Bottom Coil Glassomizers, please add this to that thread or vice versa. I have scowered the pages of ECF and haven't found it. So, I'm guessing I'm not the only one. Let the brainstorm begin!

I'm liking my ProTanks, but they can be "fiddley".
I'm THINKING about getting a cartotank soon...
I am also thinking about getting a Tatroe Tank.

Surprised the ProTank is airy on a VAMO - I get the same draw, but won't use it because it sits "above the ring" and I don't want to stress the already crappy 510 threads like that. So I've ordered an airflow thingy. They are in stock here!

If it's airy/hot/burning - sounds like maybe just crank the power down?
Or fiddle with wicks - I USUALLY find I need to REMOVE 1 peice of flavor wick from a ProTank coil to allow enough juice to flow...

I have Protanks, Davide`s, Mini`s of both brands, a Puritank, and two Evods ..

The Protanks, and big Davide I prefer with stronger, thicker, juices ... the airy flow of these don`t play well with lighter juices, most especially in terms of flavor. I also prefer higher voltage with the bigger glassomizers. Likewise, I like minis with lighter flavored juices because I find them a little less airy then their big brothers, so I get more out of the light flavors with them. I typically don`t use any mini over 4.5v, regardless of flavor and ohm rating.

The Evods while polycarbonate, I find to give the best flavor, and draw of them all. An Evod paired with a Vamo gives me an incredibly silky smooth vape ... and the draw is much better than when used on an Ego Twist, but you have to be extra careful to not tighten them too much on the Vamo, and also take care when removing them from the Vamo. If you are not careful the Evod base will unscrew from the tank when you are trying to remove it.

The Davide mini is no bueno on the Vamo .. the base of the ego skirt is too thick to make a good pin connection with the Vamo, so I only use that on a Twist.

I just ordered the Aspire ET-S last night which in body style is like a pyrex version of an Evod, and I am looking forward to trying the dual bottom coil design ... I heard the ET-S is a better performer than its big brother. I ordered it from a new vendor who is just starting out, and has a nice stock list, free shipping on everything (and the best prices I`ve seen on Youde brand everything) ... If my order goes well I will come back and post the vendors name.

rounding third and heading home...

the davide-s is a fantastic vape. hands down better than any single coil bottom head. the protank3 is getting lousy reviews. they rushed it out to counter the great reviews about the aspire dbc. personally , i have retired all my protanks(puritanks, and everything that uses a kanger head) in favor of the aspire line of dbc's. they are so much better taste and flavor-wise. try for yourself and compare.....

Greetings; Hmm, I use a Davide Mini on a Vamo (V3), and I've had no connection difficulties at all. Different version maybe?

I was going to say that I really like this combo, but I am pretty new to vaping, and the Vamo is my first APV (though I've got an SVD in the mail!). I've only tried 4 or 5 clearos so far. But I can certainly say I love the Davide Mini, great vape and completely hassle free for me.

I have a V2 Vamo so that maybe why its not a good fit for me .. I am a little jelly of your SVD, I like that APV. I was gonna order that on my last online shopping spree, but I opted for a few RDA`s and the Aspire ET-S instead, but I will make my way to it ;-)

Greetings; I got the SVD in an EBay auction, a lowball bid that I didn't bother checking because I figured I had no chance of winning at that price...but I did! :2cool:

I hope the vape gods smile on you in a similar way soon.

The Vivi Nova-S variant features a 3.5mL pyrex glass tank covered by a colored shell with viewing window, replaceable 510 drip tip mouthpiece, and replaceable 1.8ohm coil head. This is a BDC that I ordered yesterday. Should be here Saturday and I will check back after that.

Dan

Well this arrived Friday and I have been using it since. No issues, it has a bit tighter draw than a PT 2, I got the 1.8 heads and they seem to work very well. Vaped it at 8.5 Watts for a while but prefer 7.5. Like that I can use my favorite drip tip.
