Hi all. I am looking for a rebuildable that is bottom fed, or otherwise will not leak fluid when tipped on its side. I bought a Tobeco kayfun lite and it was a bust. Too hot a vape, to much of a throat hit. I'm looking for one that has no throat hit, and has a cooler vape. And can be tipped on its side with no leakage. And it needs to be a clone or at least as inexpensive as a clone. Does such a thing exist?

RBAs can mostly be set up to perform as you want them to. The Kayfuns do have a lot of flavor and TH, but if you raise the ohms or reduce your volts/watts on a VV/VW device it will tone down a lot. I'm using a Rocket Kayfun clone and am really liking it so far. Still not too experienced with it, only had it for a couple of weeks now. I'm running a 0.7 ohm micro coil in it now. It was a lot tamer at 1.1 ohms. Love the fact that it doesn't leak when it's sideways :thumb:

I have one real Kayfun Lite and two of the Tobeco Kayfun Lite clones. Build your coil so it has about 2.5 ohms and raise the coil to at least 2mm or a little more above the air hole. I would use 28 ga wire which will be a little slower heating up. Also try using a larger diameter coil. You didn't state what mod you are using with it, but if you can lower your voltage/wattage it should then give you a milder and cooler vape. All of these things will lower the coil temp.
I lay my Kayfun down on their side all the time and have never had any leaks.

I got a knockoff Kayfun lite and a Tobeco one also. The knockoff I had to replace one of the extra O-rings from the Tobeco so the deck would seal correctly (it was flooding bad before that). I agree with sticking with 28ga wire, but I built mine to 1.3-1.4 ohm range (just how many loops would it take to do 2.5?) and had to resort to using a kick to tone it down. The knockoff I toned down to about 10 watts, the Tobeco I had to tone it down to around 8.5-9 watts. It might be the juice difference and not the models. Oh yea, 101vapes has some long stainless drip tips (one bent, the other stratosphere) that also help tone down the TH. I'm very happy with what I have for now, the flavor is awesome. After I get over Christmas and hopefully find me a decent job, I want to try some gennies out just for the heck of it. I also went 1mm and 2mm above the airhole and that extra little bit helped out a lot, plus you want to make sure it is centered and not offset over the airhole. You will also may need to tone down your nicotine level.

try the Taifun gt clone..

not really sure what your doing to make a kayfun a hot vape . out of all my atty's it is the smoothest, coolest and has the least amount of TH

I think you need to try some different builds maybe using regular silica with a standard old school wrap. the micro coils are too much TH in the KF for me.

What about little plugs that you just shove into the drip tip? I you had like a little rubber piece that fit well, then maybe you could lay any atty on its side and not have to worry about it?

That will not stop a Genisis from leaking into the top cap and then out the air hole.

Interesting that you're not getting more responses about RBAs that don't leak. I think there are a few more, I just don't know which they are.

ETA: LOL, crxess was on it as I was typing :thumb:

Ok thanks for all the advice. But my original question was actually what other RBA can be tipped on its side and not leak. Someone said the A7 is one. Are there any others?

The a7can leak, but it will likely only happen upside down.

Check out the RBA forum..in assorted pv topics...or just talk to thrasher.
