I was in your shoes (exactly). I got some 510 Boge LR 2.0 cartos from vaperstix.com (good sale price regularly [watch for the sale post]). I also bought some 510 CE2 XL cartos from vaping.com. The CE2s hold more than a tank (no stuffing). There's an updated version that's supposed to wick better. The CE2s can be had in Black, White or Clear (clearomizer). The Boge LRs have a little more TH, so I use one of those toward the end of the day (when I used to smoke the most), and I modified the CE2s into clear tank mods for extra capacity and to be able to see how much juice is present and also for easier filling.

I am more pleased with the carto choices than with my tank atties. My $.02.

This may sound crazy, but for many flavors I've really enjoyed the el-cheapo disposable KR808D-1 cartos on an adapter (I found adapters for around $5 from www.myvaporstore.com ).

Average USA price on these as of March 31, 2011...seem to range from $5.00 to $15.00 per 5 pack across the internet.

Several sites that do eJuice ( www.vapesafe.com has good flavors and prices ) will sell you these prepacked with your favorite flavors at or the near the price of blanks. So...for the price of blank cartos you can also pick up something from 5 to 10ml of juice in your cartos (depending on how tightly they pack them when filling)!

A bone dry KR808D-1 carto for me holds between 40 and 50 drops of juice...that's if I use a syringe...shoot half in from the bottom up, give it a few spins (centrifugal force spin in a lanyard to push the juice down), then top off.

They give a nice warm hit, have an easy draw, and the atomizers in them last a surprisingly long time.

Several of these have lasted me over a month of pretty heavy useage. Occasionally one does go bad with a load of juice...but so far I haven't wasted any more juice with these than with any other disposable carto options out there. In contrast...I wasted over 20ml just trying to get 2 eGo Tank attys to work to satisfaction...the tanks have yet to work well for me.

Not crazy at all Credo. I love my kr808's with adapter on my eGos and Riva 510's. :)

Edit: Also the adapters I have (510-808) are adjustable so I can get my airflow just the way I like it.

I don't recommend cartos but if you want something different than the tank - try the mega eGo attys and carts - you have to buy the carts to match. There are two types - cylinder, 2.5ml and cone 1.5ml (same looks as the tank). The cylinder is what I'd choose since it holds 2.5ml of ejuice - better than most cartos and it's generally easier to fill - just drop into the cartridge. And it will last for 4 hours or longer - ymmv. They have LR in both types too. Available at many vendors - here's a good one:

Natalia,
Do you happen to remember where you found an adjustable adapter?
Mine is just a simple tread adapter.

This adjustable thing would be really nice...in fact, I'd even love to find an adjustable air pass through thinggy for regular KR batteries too (kr to kr)...

Thanks,

Wait for the v5 clearomizers. They'll be at vendors any day now. GotVapes.com for sure is expecting them at any moment, and has them in a variety of colors. Main gripe people have about them is leaking and tube cracking, but I still think its worth the fun and visual ooo ahhh. You have to clean them every few tank fulls and dry burn the atty then reassemble fill and go. They are essentially a CE2 fillerless carto that has been cut and placed in a tube, so many make a mock of it from DIY supplies and syringe bodies. You can buy replacement tubes from multiple sources. Im on the bandwagon to scoop some up as soon as they come in. New rev has better thicker pre-burned wick.

I have an eGo-T as well and have been messing around with other option than the tank to play around. I personally wouldn't recommend a carto with filler, as filler can burn, and the whole deal was annoying to me with them. Lots of maintenance and topping off. Cleaning is a PITA compared to the ease of use you have with tank now.

The eGo Mega Low Resistance Barrel Type and a drip tip has been fun and very tasty to me. Kent gave link above. I havent gotten one yet, but I suspect the Low Resistance Tank atties are just as great.

I got some of the new v5 (or 6 depending who you ask) ce2 clearomizers. So far 2 work well, one is either not wicking or the coil is not producing vapor fast enough (just thought i should drip on that and check) and i broke one.

This is my first step into the carto realm. And i must say the one that works well, really works well. The thick wick seems good, but the coil is pretty crappy (poorly wound around the wick, over the cup.)

The coil at the top gives you warm vapor which is way different than the ego t (enjoyable depending on the flavor)

Certainly not the last piece to ever be purchased, but for 10 bucks for 5 its not bad.

I would def wait for vendor to guarantee which revision as some forum members received mixed boxes

I actually prefer the Boge 3 ohm cartomizers. I've tried the 2 ohm but, they draw pretty hot. I suppose I could adjust but, I've gotten used to long slow draws. Do that with a 2 ohm and your tongue will be well done enough to swallow.

You must be inhaling up a storm. I never noticed the 2.0 to be hot. They're supposed to be cooler than the 3.0 I though. No?

I like cartos best of about anything I've tried. Ikenvape and Boge are both good.
